Does that rig have many drivetrain issues?Worked on my front steering knuckles for my K8EXB.....Just a heads up the Arrcat CVD shaft and axel set are cool the shafts are beefy but the axels are out of spec where the hex adaptor meets the axel, even opening the pin hole enough to get it in there makes it not operate smooth. Just have to order 2 new stock axels....another $34 added to the overall total so now I'm at $1,470.00 into it and still not done. It will be done one day and it will be glorious i say GLORIOUS!!!!
(Yea trying to convince myself too)
You are still in the building stage with this rig, no? Are the stock Arrma shafts that bad? I don't know much aboot the Arrma 8s line. I never really trust any of the China direct parts for drive train or gears, even though the oem is all chinaWorked on my front steering knuckles for my K8EXB.....Just a heads up the Arrcat CVD shaft and axel set are cool the shafts are beefy but the axels are out of spec where the hex adaptor meets the axel, even opening the pin hole enough to get it in there makes it not operate smooth. LOLLast night I was just working on the story I'll tell my wife for why I need another R/C car.
I have bent 1 cvd shaft with my BLX when I broke the steering knuckle, broke the arms, cracked the shock tower and bent a shock shaft. So I fixed and traded the blx to my buddy so on the EXB I decided to try to make it as bomb proof as i can its just costing a boat load of cash to do it.You are still in the building stage with this rig, no? Yea its actually an option high or low. This thing has soooo many adjustments its crazy, should be a fun time rollin once its done. The motor sits up high in this car, huh,?
Certainly changes the center of gravity, I won't know how I like it until I start rolling the carIn theory the motor height makes sense. I would guess the higher up would lighten the rear end making it more drifty?
Will do! The main steering arm can be reversed from the normal position to an "Extended" position by being flipped. I think what this does is makes it so it would be less touchy on the remote steering, at least that's my logic anyway. I will get some pics up later, I will also see if I can't find a copy of the setup sheet, it is crazy the adjustability this thing has.@Mazin. Would you mind showing us how that steering is designed? Once you have it all set up, of course.
