Yep, you got me I'm clueless! The only thing that gets rid of the chassis flex is the chassis brace in the last picture, even with all the aluminum braces they still flex, and that's not opinion, press your chassis on an edge and watch the body posts separate, xtr is the only one that doesn't because it comes with the brace and has a stronger chassis, I'm not here to argue but funny how all mine do or did

Look guy ..This new brace nothing like the old brace.. you cant sit here and say that it is.Hello? Look close at your stock braces and arms ..you will see the inserts where THE CARBON FIBER STIFFENERS GO.. I never said that there was no flex ..I said the flex could be minimalized with adding the carbon fiber inserts tc provides aftermarket.. it's something called chassis tuning.. TC being a racing company they had a lot of tuning options to their bash rigs as well..Nice rigs by the way.

Lol just saw that. Like i said, servo needs a upgrade. Or put it on 7.4 volt 😉 But man, it looks nice. Now i am in doubt. RTR and upgrade when needed? Or roller and choose electronics. 🤔🤔
It don't need upgrade..All you gotta do is turn up the voltage on the stock one like you said.. Greg light weight hates by not telling the people that its adjustable or even mentioning that it's a high voltage servo.. he also never mentions the fact that the arms and braces on the stock TC Rigs except carbon fiber inserts to adjust chassis and arm stiffness in any of his reviews

I welcome chassis flex myself. After jumping my xtr squarely into a tree with the nose pointing to the sky,, that CF brace broke clean in two!! 🤣🤣
So I deleted it..🤷‍♂️😂😂
When/if you get new cf brace seal the edges with super glue before installing

Really cool of him to update me like that. I had asked if they had them in stock and if they would be shipping soon.

Cant wait to see more info. Then i am going to decide rtr or roller.

Mmx8s and tp 4060cm 2080 kv ordered. mistakes might have been made because my electronics cost more than the roller 🤣 🤣 😔

think i am goin for the roller and put a Hobbywing Combo Ezrun MAX8 G2 ESC 4268SD 2500KV G2 Motor in it. Looks like xt90 plugs are allready installed. Servo? don't know yet. tips and recommendations are welcome ;) Hope it will fit. Motor will i recon but the ESC, not so sure.

I was real close to picking the g2 combo. I think the only reason I didn't was because I was worried I wouldn't be happy with the smaller motor. I'm used to overpowering everything :ROFLMAO: Are you from the states? radiocontrolpower.com will solder any connection you want onto your esc for only the price of the connector. Buy all my esc from them now haha.

No i live in the Netherlands. The rc scene is unfortunately less here then in the US. 2500kv motor is more then the rtr Kuron 825 right? Or am i missing something.

The kv is higher but the physical size of the motor is smaller than the Kuron. The hobbywing motor could easily end up being weaker than stock. Size definitely matters! Kuron is 4074 vs hw 2500kv being only 4068.

for comparison, the motor I'm going to use is 4092 so it's definitely a lot more power. that's why I said I'd be scared to use duratrax/louise tires because they are known for blowing up with power, at least in the 1/5th scale space 🤣 .

Thanks. Or just put a max6 Combo and drive like a lunatic 🤣

we must really be over gearing everything because the wifey has a stretched typhon with a max 6 combo and it's geared 26/40. 15t seems so slow! I guess that is with grps though. :ROFLMAO:

Asuga will be here tomorrow and my mmx8s is coming today. Sadly I'm going to be stuck waiting a few days for the motor. Tempted to take the motor out of my truggified typhon since it's the same one I'm waiting on. I have zero levels of patience when it comes to my rc's. :ROFLMAO:

When it comes to RC vehicles, I'm really impatient too. I have a Hobbywing 4000kv motor on order for my new RDS drift car. I have the same motor in a Rustler VXL 2WD with only an hour or so of running time on it, so I pulled that motor out and installed it into the drift car. The new 4000kv motor will go into the older vehicle that I robbed the original motor from.

At least you'll have yours tomorrow, mine won't be here till Wednesday, oh well, I'll probably just look it over and toss on the shelf for later anyway but definitely anxious to get my hands on it

Wow - I'm obviously a noob when it comes to brushless - I always saw the 825 motor as utterly bonkers for the Kronos XTR. In the Asuga though? Is a 1/7th scale buggy about the same heft as a Kronos XTR? 🤔

I don't feel there's any shortage of 'go' with the Corally electronics, but they certainly get hot quick and the motor requires cooling fans.

4092 motors are supposed to have a lot more power and can be geared up more because they generate more torque. The 825 motor is a 3000w motor (4hp) the 4092 are anywhere between 4000-4200w (5.3-5.6hp). Insane amounts of power.

Personally, for the XTR, I wouldn't be keen to add more power like this if it also meant adding more weight. It's kinda in the sweet spot for me where it is I reckon.
