Yeah, the 1717 is basically the same size as a 4985 so all depends what mount it has if it could clear the chassis. I had to cut both my radix and kronos to fit the mmx8s esc and they have rounded guards so I know this thing would need trimmed since they shoot straight back to the chassis, not opposed to it just hate cutting a new car up right out of the box

I was definitely tempted, I ordered through Chicagoland and the rtr was only $198 more after discount code, but you can usually get a new takeoff kuron/torox off eBay for 160 so figured if I ended up using that setup I'd order separate and save a few $$

True. Not sure about the radio as I've never used a TC radio, their servos are mediocre in my experience. I'd opt for a ds3235 over the TC servo myself. I went through 2 TC servos in short order then switched to DS.

Yep, I never run rtr radios so don't care about that aspect and although I've yet to have an issue with the tc servos like you in a ds servo guy, $15 and they just work, not the fastest things but I bash so I don't care

That brace is all new and super beef..its also alloy hybrid..And if you really own lots of TC rigs then you would know that the stock braces and arms are built to accept carbon fiber inserts to stiffen things up ..to be honest your the only guy on here complaining a bit lol

Odd they are super solid servos in my experience even running them with voltage turned up

The esc and battery tray can be moved on the other tc rigs to fit bigger esc or battery no need to cut.. Hopefully the dame on this one

I know most have good things to say about the TC servos. Bought one from JRC for my xtr, failed quickly enough for them to warranty it. The second didn't last much longer🤷‍♂️
That was enough for me to move on..

Yep, you got me I'm clueless! The only thing that gets rid of the chassis flex is the chassis brace in the last picture, even with all the aluminum braces they still flex, and that's not opinion, press your chassis on an edge and watch the body posts separate, xtr is the only one that doesn't because it comes with the brace and has a stronger chassis, I'm not here to argue but funny how all mine do or did

I welcome chassis flex myself. After jumping my xtr squarely into a tree with the nose pointing to the sky,, that CF brace broke clean in two!! 🤣🤣
So I deleted it..🤷‍♂️😂😂

Space for Esc is a problem i think. Why not make space for it by trimming it.

You guys had me feeling like poop for missing out on the chicagoland coupon since I ordered from omegarc but I just tried to check out to see what I was missing and the price ended up being the same because omegarc didn't charge me tax and chicagoland did. :ROFLMAO:

How's max 8 g2 esc been holding up for those here who might have one? I've seen several threads from folks who've been less than satisfied. Just curious.
Aren't folks getting away with 4092 in the kronos? Seems like the should be similar dimensions?

Honestly I'm really debating what I'ma do lol. I have a max 8 g2 combo in my kraton 4s v2 but I only run it on 4s. I only have about 5 packs or so on that truck but the combo seemed good to me. I'm just so use to using motors bigger than that so it seems small to me.

I'm debating taking out the tp 4050 2100kv in my typhon 3s and using that. It;s 40x82 iirc. I was trying to be cheaper with this rig because tbh I really shouldn't have bought it. I literally just bought that xmaxx like a week ago :ROFLMAO:

Normally I'd go with an mmx8s and call it a day but max 8 g2 is a good 50$ cheaper. I dunno! I might just end up with a mmx8s anyway. :ROFLMAO:
