I did see the "baldies", LOL. Good info. I know the Prolines are great tires, but I don't own a single set due to the cost. I run TC Grabbers, Arrma BF's and CH for "soft" terrain such as grass, mud, snow. "Mini pin" type race tires in the dry summer months on my backyard track. Mini pins are hard to find for 1/6 8s rigs. I have some GRP 1/6, Duratrax 1/5 SC, Rovan 1/5 and a set of Jconcepts Chaser 1/5 on Losi beadlock wheels. The beadlocks are heavy AF, also tough as nails. A bit narrower than I'd like too.I run on grass mainly & bit of gravel mainly they work for me, badlands give me too much grip on grass cause to much traction rolling & almost get 3 sets buggy tires for the price of a set of badlands. The pin style work better on grass but if I hit the car park I can kill a set in 1 battery pack, see middle set picturedso tend to use the block stlye(bulldogs) they give me just the right amount of grip but still allow it to slide/skid without traction rolling. I’ve saw a running vid with them I’ll try to find it think it was on nbrc channel
Sweet, thanks! I bought a set of Katar T's from JRC several years back, when they had the non-belted ones. They're good tires I feel, but mine still look like new because I use them so little. They are okay for loamy dirt, but greasy on hardpack and too narrow for snow. I've run them a few times on my monster Mojave, which is a Mojo 6s exb w/Kraton arms and FT shocks and a Rocket 4092.@KnowAir
The VP tires seemed perfect for the terrain in this video. Shame about the stripped hex, I do wonder if the VP tires would fit the Arrma Katar wheels? Think I have a set of bald Katar T's kicking around somewhere from my bro's Tali EXB. Not sure, I may have tossed them.@KnowAir
I fitted badlands for buggy to a set of cheap AliExpress tarmac tires/rims fitted no issue. The VP tires seemed perfect for the terrain in this video. Look great! I’ve had great results removing glued tires from the wheels by soaking the whole assembly in a bucket of acetone. Some take several days to “release”, but works great and doesn’t damage anything.I fitted badlands for buggy to a set of cheap AliExpress tarmac tires/rims fitted no issue.

140x70mm so no they are slightly larger and significantly wider. The Asuga can fit 140mm tires just fine though. Considering that the Asuga is 15% bigger than a standard 1/8 buggy if you add 15% to the standard 120mm 1/8 buggy tire you get 138mm so they don't actually look oversized at all.Are they the same diameter as the stockies? Thanks
You could go the other way undersized140x70mm so no they are slightly larger and significantly wider. The Asuga can fit 140mm tires just fine though. Sounds good, better than paying over $100 a set, especially when they're going to get worn outhttps://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807353492145.html
Slightly bigger than stock but super cheap and they get good reviews.
Looking great!Picked up an Asuga threw a set of vp pro onto it see what they looked like. Haven’t run it yet.
