Everyone seems scared to drop the high speed pinion in themAnother Shiroi Video
I noticed that too, with a bit of diff tuning and dropping that ride height it would be fineEveryone seems scared to drop the high speed pinion in them![]()
On 6s with speed pinion it’s over 100kmh. As soon as I started to hit 90kmh in the Mojave 6s, it just wanted to parachute. A DIY front windshield helped, but around 100 kmh on ‘a SCT terrain’ is just too much IMO.Everyone seems scared to drop the high speed pinion in them![]()
Haha. That was my first thought too.On 6s with speed pinion it’s over 100kmh. As soon as I started to hit 90kmh in the Mojave 6s, it just wanted to parachute. A DIY front windshield helped, but around 100 kmh on ‘a SCT terrain’ is just too much IMO.
Picking mine (roller) up on Friday, planning to make it a ‘spicy’ 4s SCT.

I like the play on names, shiraco might even be a better name. I’ve a similar play on names for my next build but not sharing it now it would give the game away but I’ve even created a character based on the name for a vinyl skinHaha. That was my first thought too.
I tried a windshield, but it didn't do much against that parachuting.
What did work was venting the rear of the cabin on my Mojaves 6s, and the rear of the
front fenders on my Slashes Proline bash body.
I'd like to run and compare my Shiraco against the Shiroi.
That’s a pretty good deal. Good luck resisting$425 for the roller with 15% off coupon, must resist...
I wasn't able to I got the blue version. I was able to hold out for about 10 minutes. That’s a pretty good deal. Good luck resisting![]()
Of course that will work.I had a thought, what if you put Kagama arms, hubs and CVDs and 170mm monster truck tires on the Shiroi, do you think this would work? You could also space out the tires by an additional 1cm with the ADU racing hub extenders if necessary.
Do they use the same chassis? EDIT: No but the wheelbase is nearly the same. I was thinking you could turn it into a short wheelbase stunt truck but there's only 8mm difference between the wheelbase on the Kagama and Shiroi. You'd need something more like the Spark XB7 chassis wheelbaseOf course that will work.
The shiroi is basically a Kagama with Spark arms.
They use same chassis, same wheelbase @388mm be easier just to put shiroi body on kagamaDo they use the same chassis? EDIT: No but the wheelbase is nearly the same. Not worth if it the wheelbase is the same the whole point of a stunt truck is it flips better and goes up inclines and vertical surfaces better because of the shorter wheelbase. They use same chassis, same wheelbase @388mm be easier just to put shiroi body on kagama
All Corally cars use the same diffs and bulkheads. The Shiroi and Spark drive trains are just as tough as the Kagama's and Muraco's. I don't see a problem. Not worth if it the wheelbase is the same the whole point of a stunt truck is it flips better and goes up inclines and vertical surfaces better because of the shorter wheelbase.
EDIT You could use 24mm wheel adapters and 200mm monster truck tires and gear it down with the 46T spur gear to get the same effect but I'm not sure how well the drivetrain would handle the bigger tires.
