Maybe as not offered anymore as like I said a program box not needed. An average customer would just need to read the esc manual & not need to worry about if it a rebranded item which you clearly didn’t or wouldn’t be complaining about it.
Lol for someone who is not interested in arguing you sure seem to be coming with a lot of that energy. Why would you assume that I didn't read the manual? I know that you can do the manual programming rigamarole, its just a hassle to have to go to 7 flashes to set the BEC voltage for example. All of the Hobbywing stuff can be programmed manually, but they still sell stuff to make this less of a pain in the ass. Why would they still be selling programming boxes if there was no use for them?

This conversation has made my decision for me, I'm definitely gonna buy one of these bad boys https://www.hobbywing.com/en/products/lcdprogramboxpro thing is rad as hell.

I think your (in my opinion misplaced) righteous anger for defending this corporation that would sell you to the highest bidder in a heartbeat is clouding your thinking, since you just made a pretty insane leap of logic (this guy couldn't possibly have read the manual since he seems to want to use a programming card). I doubt you hold my opinion in high enough regard to do anything that I recommend, but for what its worth, maybe take some time away from the forum to relax. Its not worth getting wound up over some company.

Whatever! your complaints are petty imo, in manufacturing most companies use 3rd parties to make or manufacture parts and don’t list who they are , what makes you think rc industry any different , why do corally need to tell you it a Hobbywing esc is there product?( to save you a few seconds with a program card really?) I worked for Ryobi manufacturing aluminium casting for cars(Ford, jaguar, Aston Martin, GM, Peugeot, Isuzu, etc) do any these companies list who actually making the parts in there vehicles?

Okay, I only even got onto this topic because you changed the subject from what I was actually talking about (the CVD pin issue). That's actually pretty sweet that you worked in casting for car parts. I don't know much about that industry so I can't really comment.

I definitely would not have come here to whine about rebranded electronics. When I brought up the rebranding I was just trying to highlight that these parts are manufactured in Chinese factories which produce stuff in grades, and Corally seems to be choosing low grades of products here.

To be clear, my complaint is not about rebranded electronics. That would certainly be a petty. My complaint is about defective parts in a product and the lack of communication thereof. That is not petty.

I don't even care about this product myself anymore. I don't have confidence in it anymore, and I will choose any of my other rigs over this one instead since I don't trust it.

I only post this so that if someone smarter than me is trolling through these forums thoroughly before making their purchase, they can know that this production run is indeed defective and they can expect to go through the same pain in the ass process that I and others have.

If your in your 4th support ticket hard to say there has been a lack of communication. But you clearly not happy with the outcome still so I guess that’s your prerogative

As I said in the post that you are referencing, those tickets are for a different unrelated issue. I mentioned there that I think the drive shaft thing will happen, and they downplayed it. Then when I finally took the rig out, hey presto, it happened. You really are making an absolute ton of assumptions based on no information here my guy. You don't know what the communication has been, so you are just assuming there must have been a lack of communication so that you can think the worst of me. From what you've seen here, the amount of effort and detail I have put into these messages, why would you conclude that I would have lacked communication with support? You are really grasping at straws here and doing everything possible to avoid addressing my actual point, the defective parts.

Not denying defective parts but corally have sent out replacements to anyone who has contacted them with issues and are working on a permanent fix but your still not happy 🤷. Don’t see any other manufacturers doing any better or offering better customer support.

I posted this in response to the specific question:

"Punisher/Kagama 4s - has Corally fixed the cvd pin issue on this rig yet or provided a fix? Still on the fence about purchasing one with this being a major issue. I think about every review I’ve seen has confirmed the issue. Please advise. Thanks!"

OP asked for confirmation and I provided it along with context and details.

I have every right to not be happy. Any brand should replace defective parts. One that fails to do so should go straight onto the garbage list. I am not going to praise a company for doing what they are obligated to do.

I am only replying to your responses in kind because you keep telling me to essentially just shut up and be happy that they didn't just ignore my email. I am sorry but I am not going to do that, because I want other people to see this and make better and more informed decisions than I did.

I have in fact seen plenty of examples of other companies giving excellent customer support, even ones with bad reputations like Traxxas and Arrma. Replacing defective parts is not "being nice".

Why can't you just say "fair enough, it sucks that they sold you and others a defective product"? Why should I not be allowed to complain about this and let others know?

Well I guess

“since this thing has already cost me more time and energy than the rest of my collection combined”

You should maybe stick with Lego or another brand/hobby

Oh wow that was a sick burn dude. You really got me. Lego. ouch. Only losers play with lego amirite???? LOL

Actually that reminds me I want to get back into Lego. They have some rad stuff these days, thank you.

I literally said already that I have decided Corally is not the brand for me. Surely you would know that from going back and reading my replies to find quotes?

Like I have said repeatedly at this point, yes I am going to stick with my other rigs and the multiple boxes of replacement parts coming to me from over seas are likely not going to be opened any time soon. I am definitely not going to buy another Corally product, and other people who read this information can make their own decisions. I feel satisfied knowing that I did my part to make the information available.

So yes, I will get some Lego, and I will stick with other brands, but I don't think you get to tell me not to engage with my hobby just because my criticisms of a _literal corporation, not even a human being_ have hurt your feelings. If you like Team Corally so much, like, why don't you MARRY THEM? How's that for a sick burn?

Engage until your heart content I will do the same , you won’t hurt my feelings, I hope you enjoy the Lego

I just received my Kagama 4 Saturday only had maybe 5 minutes to play before the axle popped out, seems to be the left side the right has yet to come out. Unfortunately the last time it did haven’t been able to find the center sleeve, good news is I will have a forever fix coming very soon and will be more than happy to post pics on how I’ve solved the problem. With a little mechanical knowledge it’s a no brainer. Either way other than the axle issue the Kagama seems to be very well built again this is my first I fly Rc Jets also. I did see a video on someone replacing control arms shafts etc for a wider stance which I like not crazy about spacers. Anyways I have the CNC center diff ordered just asking any other parts I should order while I’m at it? I’m not big jumping anything like that mostly will be a all around fun truck for me

Kagama front CV axle issues resolved, I will start testing the steel I used but would highly suggest a decent spring steel etc for 6s and up. Here’s a pic of one side I just finished, very simple easy to do. I threaded just one side of the outter cup found a slighter thicker piece of steel ( round ) threaded all the way past the other cup hole where the pin would go through. After the screw is threaded keeping your insert handy for sizing simply installed in a drill and slowly with a 400grit sandpaper took the screw to slide through the insert without binding. I polished the non threaded area for smooth movement and put the CV axle together as normal other than screwing into the one side that was threaded. More or less unless the pin breaks no more pins popping out

Only other part some complain about is the fixed motor mount could upgrade that to the sketer sliding motor mount.

Ok guys got to go for another full SMC 59/5100 hi voltage 4s pack in the Kagama with the threaded pin modifications I did. So far not an issue the first pin did snap but to its credit was made from a dremel tool shaft so pretty cheap metal. I made another from hardened tool steel that I tested on the SMC hi volt pack, worked so well I went to fitting the pin to flush mount so the factor collar can be installed for even more added support. Here’s a pic of it completed and yes I will be doing a how to video to share with yall.

One thing I can say is Team Corally has really good customer support. I had one company who I went over a month of providing proof a receiver was faulty before they finally had me send it in for replacement. Team Corally just asked for Proof of Purchase and a pic of the axle. Pretty good service in my book so kudos to them

I don't really need free spare parts seeing how I already fixed my issues but a free CVD rebuild kit would help to compensate me for undue stress and time googling for bits n bobs 😆 , I might get cheeky and ask 😅

Another full run on a standard SMC LiPo found one very small issue that I just resolved, the pin collar ( factory ) does seem to wanna move over the lip on the axle. Just the left side, I’ve trimmed the collar down a touch so it lays flat around the whole joint. Ran another full run at this time on a SMC 59/5100 high voltage pack ( there is a power difference ) and happy to say totally impressed with the Kagama. High speed tight turns jumps ( not huge ) alls still perfect, I have a 15 tooth pinion coming today I’ll install tonight have to take a grandson to a doc appointment. Here’s a short video so yall can see how well this looks and of course totally eliminates any pin issues.
