Hello there , many thanks for your kind words I have a typhon 3s/4s and a typhon 6s , talion 6s . The radix 6 on a good 4s battery , 16t pinion , is a rocket , and to me ( don’t tell anyone ) the best of them all ( in my garden ) and I suspect everywhere else I go that’s smooth-ish . The talion over the rough n in the woods will still take some beating . BUT that’s rare for me . I have a ton of spares coming , my 120c race packs aren’t far away , I have this week off , so after the extreme heat days we have forecast , the radix will rock once moreAwesome! Glad you're enjoying the Radix! You make some good reading material too! I've enjoyed your thread thus far
To date, my only TC is the XTR, but I may pick up one of the 6s buggies in the future.
I do have an X-Ray buggy which I converted from nitro to brushless. It is an enjoyable buggy, fantastic handling even if it is a 2007 model!
For me, the buggies are more enjoyable on 4s vs 6. Between the nearly uncontrollable power and compromised handling of 6s weight, then there's the wear and tear from being overpowered..nah. Just me.
So at some point, I'll buy the 6s buggy and run it on 4s. I like to have the extra durability of the 6s rig even though I use it with less power (4s).
Believe it or not, that talion is quite a blast on 4s tooMy brother has the talion exb, he has much more fun in smaller running areas on 4s with it! Welcome aboard if I missed your introduction Sounds like you've got a sweet lineup of rc's thereHello there , many thanks for your kind words I have a typhon 3s/4s and a typhon 6s , talion 6s . Oh absolutely, they all have their place, I have rc's I only run on 2s, just depends where you're running, power isn't everything although is fun!! Prime example is my xtr primarily lives on 6s because it's a blast, however if my plans for the day is simply to be hitting the ramp it gets 4s, more than enough, just depends on the applicationBelieve it or not, that talion is quite a blast on 4s tooMy brother has the talion exb, he has much more fun in smaller running areas on 4s with it! i do like a big ramp , but i also love belting around trying to miss the trees , maybe one day BrianThat garden is crying out for a huge send it ramp..!!
If my lawn were that big I'd build a halfpipe
I have another voucher coming in lieu of the centre rear driveshaft So I’ll have a little spend soonI ordered a load of other bits when I got my HD hubs to make the postage cost spread a bit thinner. The new design hubs are ridiculously strong though so I'd argue it is worth it.
Great info , thank you . The ESC n Motor seemed equally hot by finger . I need to raise the fan off the motor to get better airflow , and all it’s doing today is shifting hot air . But that’s all for another day . To hot for this me is all thisHow is the esc running temp wise? Comparable to motor or is it running cool?
The reason I ask is if the esc is still cool but you're cooking the motor then the system is working really easy and the extra heat in the motor is from spinning a lot of rpm so toss on a bigger pinion, if they're both similar them you're probably dialed in fairly well
