Been running the Kagama all weekend, grandkids didn’t matter she took everything. I did have the cooling fan stop working come to find a piece of corn stalk had gotten inside, cleaned out and good to go. Just did my first speed run totally stock and I don’t think it did bad, changing a SMC hivolt pack right now just to see if makes any difference. Hoping the 15tooth shows up today and I’ll probably get a 17 also

Guessing that’s on 4s, would have expected it to be 40mph+ maybe need to check the diffs have oil in them can be very light or empty from the factory. But if you’re having fun & enjoying it that’s the main thing. 👍

I haven’t done anything yet oils just arrived Saturday so that’s definitely something I need to

Hmm I still think it should be faster I’ve saw 48mph stock out the box but what surface your running g on will affect it also, Only thing I can think off is you might have the dual rate turned down on your transmitter.

It could also be my GPS signal where I’m at it kept going below Satellite connection to read. Live in the boonies like we just got WIFI available a little over a year ago. 15 tooth just came in going to check the diffs and add this new pinion

Ok guys seeing some wear from the rear diff output cups is this normal? Is there a spring steel upgrade, I found these just don’t want to buy the wrong parts think I should do front and rear

Yes it’s normal but those are the incorrect ones. These are the correct ones. And ignore my previous comments about your speed I thought it was a kagama 6s you had not the kagama4 , speeds you achieved are perfect

Sweet and thank you, the front have no wear which makes sense less force there compared to the rear. I’m going to order the spring steel ones and oh yes the 15 tooth is installed will speed run later today rained last night. Seen people saying you have to remove the whole motor mount etc, I didn’t just removed the body cover top motor diff cover then the pinion followed by the motor. Raised the diff enough to get the screw out which sucked because they say use center holes on the mount. Well not for me IDK 🤷 gears wouldn’t touch each other where directions said to put them. Anyways thank you for the constant help do a speed run shortly and see how things work out

Already looking at upgrading to a castle ESC and motor for 6s, thoughts? I have been using Castle in some of my jets for some time with the JetFan set ups have been my go to for years

I actually use Hobbywing ESC’s I all of my jets that don’t have Castles so I’m totally cool with KobbyWing. So HobbyWing for bashing

Going to order the spring steel rear driveshaft ends and an extra set of center drive shafts to keep for spares. Otherwise seems the truck is pretty solid, I will be doing the video on threading the left front CV so no more pins popping out

That’s my thoughts not worried about total speed handling power bullet proof is more what I’m looking to do

If going 6s your probably better to just upgrade your diffs than buy the outdrives separately then up end upgrading the diffs later. The 6s diffs are metal case & hardened steel gears where the 4s only sintered metal plastic cases. You’ll pick the diffs up cheaper from a breakers jennys rc the go too for them in the states RCSpares in the uk

Sweet, what are your thoughts on this. I’m like what kind of luck do I have, truck stopped making weird noises and I see this so I just stopped driving her. Don’t want to tear anything else up, just on dirt no jumps. Want to but we haven’t made the track at our Rc club yet. I just don’t know what to do seems like I’m having issues no one else is

Centre driveshaft not something really spares for if you bend or break them you’ll probably have a host of other things you’ve broke around it. If I was going to spend any money on anything for it , it would be the metal adjustable motor mount & for spares be arms would buy most likely thing you’ll break can upgrade them to the spark arms if wanted & some else had a motor replaced by corally on here recently and got it upgraded for an extra $10

I'd take a look at the motor bearings as the stock ones tend to fall apart pretty soon. In our bash group one Kuron motor could be fixed with new motor bearings, two other motors were FUBAR (both after about 3 to 5 packs!). The destroyed motors had a bad (burned) smell.
