This is not a complaint, I'm just trying to understand how Corally came to their speed figures ??

As far as I know the Sketer comes factory fitted with a 13T pinion, spur is 52T, diffs are 13T/43T and tyre diameter 134mm...

So I'm a bit confused, the pictures below show their product page and also the speeds from RC Car Calculator.!!

The below image is taken from the online manual from their website..
Factory fitted is 13T also NOT RECOMMENDED, AT YOUR OWN RISK is a 16T, yet that still doesn't reach their claimed speed according to RC Car Calculator

As you can see above, using 4s nothing will get this truck to it's claimed upto 50mph..!!
Like I said earlier this is not a complaint I'm just trying to understand how they work out their speeds.

Let's say I want to upgrade this truck, I don't really know where to begin as all the figures are out of whack !!🤪
I've always used RC Car Calculator in the past, but is it really that far out of calibration, I know it's not 100% correct but it has always got me the correct results when building Frankenstein builds in the past.....

If I have made any mistakes please point them out to me, I'd be interested what everyones thoughts are about this truck, also to the people that own one..
How fast is it.!! GPS's at the ready 😜:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah, noticed that in the manual also.

I am starting with a 16t pinion before I even connect a battery when mine comes in. I mean, looking at the gearing and motor KV, I was thinking 18 to 20t in my head, but will start with the 16t.

Mines hitting thermal cutoff on w/ a 15T in 75 deg temps. I have a fan on the motor but I think both the ESC and motor need alot of air. IMO it needs at the least a Max8 combo to get what you should expect out of this rig.
The stock power is nearly maxed out on this rig.

Going to try and see. If an issue with the motor and ESC, will get a MMX 1515 2200kv sensored combo like the one in my Tekno MT410. That setup is awesome on 4s. After a pack running in 60 degree weather motor was 110, ESC 120. That is with a 20t on the Tekno. Though the diffs are geared lower at 10/40.

I’m gonna see what will fit tonight. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Might as well
Sound like me. I used to run a 23t in my K6s and OC6s. Both have a HW 1650kv. Was just bit oo much for bashing. Insane speed though! Dropped both down to a 20t.

I do run a huge 40mm server fan on both the motor and ESC though.

Tires ballooning adds a lot of speed.

Eh, I love the size of this rig, but hearing you guys say it's over heating by hardly hitting 50mph is a bit of a bummer. Soooo, has anyone installed the Corally 6s system and run it on 4s yet?;)

That's my next change. I know JayTee ran a aTorox 185 with the stock can and was hitting some high speeds. He was barely keeping on all 4 on 6s.

I am running a max8(similar to a Torox 185) with a hobbywing 4268 motor @ 2600kv together with a set of redcat kaiju ext (159mm dia.) tires.
I swapped out the stock fan on max8 and put a rocket 30mm fan in it.
so far at 4s the rig runs really well, nothing has overheated in socal's mid 70s weather.

Added 20mm to the tyres with 16T and got 49.8mph 🤔😎👍🏼
See, that's all I want out of a basher. I don't need break neck speeds, but I don't want a turtle either.

Oh I'm also putting 3.8 Badlands. That may add a few mph?

Yep ran mine stock and was definitely slow and no backflip air control at all. Going to go 15t then up from there depending on air control as I want to be able to pull a triple like with my 4s Granite and Bigrock.

Anybody find a 14 or 15 tooth in stock anywhere? I'd like to stick with corally OEM on the pinion. Seems like it's out of stock everywhere!
