This is not a complaint, I'm just trying to understand how Corally came to their speed figures ??
As far as I know the Sketer comes factory fitted with a 13T pinion, spur is 52T, diffs are 13T/43T and tyre diameter 134mm...
So I'm a bit confused, the pictures below show their product page and also the speeds from RC Car Calculator.!!
The below image is taken from the online manual from their website..
Factory fitted is 13T also NOT RECOMMENDED, AT YOUR OWN RISK is a 16T, yet that still doesn't reach their claimed speed according to RC Car Calculator
Here is the stock gearing setup ...
And here is the.. NOT RECOMMENDED, AT YOUR OWN RISK ...
As you can see above, using 4s nothing will get this truck to it's claimed upto 50mph..!!
Like I said earlier this is not a complaint I'm just trying to understand how they work out their speeds.
Let's say I want to upgrade this truck, I don't really know where to begin as all the figures are out of whack !!
I've always used RC Car Calculator in the past, but is it really that far out of calibration, I know it's not 100% correct but it has always got me the correct results when building Frankenstein builds in the past.....
If I have made any mistakes please point them out to me, I'd be interested what everyones thoughts are about this truck, also to the people that own one..
How fast is it.!! GPS's at the ready
