Hello everyone . Here is my review of my brand new asuga . 4s on 13t ( too slow ) and 16t ( not quite there ) over to 6s and 13t pinion ( fast ) and 16t ( very fast ) trouble with 6s is the front tyres turning to pizza cutters as seen in the photos , so out came the centre diff and I filled it with silicone plugs , this gave a 100% more enjoyable drive and no destruction of the front tyres . The photos in the muck is with a siliconed centre diff. Will I sell my typhon 6s or kraton 6s , naaaaa they'll take some beating. Took a little extra time to get the centre diff out cos of the brace system . Needs a fan of the motor too , got hot on me grass

I think 14T might be sweet spot on 6S

I'm gonna keep testing my Sketer but I could see myself picking up the Jambo, I was all set on the Asuga cause it looks awesome but I've started using ramps now and its awesome fun backfliping which I dunno if Asuga or my Typhon would be easy to do it with

Update . She has hit a tree head on at nearly full chat , gone sideways into a metal post and sideways into a wall too ……… and survived . Lovely jubbly
Thats good test of durability for sure, I know my sketer has took some good punishment, I did break rear dogbone and front chassis brace on last bash tho

Chuck some Arrma Backflip LP's on it and I'm sure it will do backflips..!!😉

I was thinking of getting hex extenders and maybe doing that, I decided to truggify my Typhon tho since I got parts cheap earlier and can use my sketer wheels and tires, if I don't like it still then I know not to bother getting asuga

I own a Sketer, would like an Asuga but the temptation of Corally's recent tease of a new vehicle has me on hold.

Tbh the Sketer was my worse purchase of 2022 😩🤪 there is nothing wrong with it that you can't fix by fitting a 6s system in it, but I wanted a true 4s rig and the Sketer just isn't it..!!

Yeah, for 4s basher, my vote would have to be MT410. Just awesome on 4s for ramping, ET48 on 4s is quite awesome as well. I started with the MT410 then converted with ET48 chassis. Essentially having both.👍😁

That's great news! She's a tough one!👍

That was my plan.. get a clear Asuga body for my Kraton. I am calling the Mojave armed Kraton a "Typhon XL". When you put the Asuga and Kraton side by side with same tires on both, that really gives a clear picture of the difference in the two. I guess since I've built the Typhon XL, my Asuga desires have been satisfied.. I'm still looking for the right tires though. While I do believe the Mojave Fortress tires are the best rtr tire/whell combination ever, I need more traction on my clay track.. tough because they're an unpopular size.

I've just built a Kramojav but it's just sitting not finished 😩 My thinking was super plush long travel suspension on a shorter wheel base (Kraton length) could be like a giant Senton..!!!
Hey! Yeah, I had similar ideas.. I mean, sure the Senton 6s is badazz, but it's just too small to fully appreciate 6s power IMO. Typhon too..
So, I thought, what about a true 1/8 scale SCT? I know they used to be an actual class of rc's. Associated had the SC8.. there were others too. Hobao still makes an SC8e. Hmm.. I hatched a plan to put Mojo arms, cvds, towers and shocks onto my K6EXB.. but what about a body? Hobao SC8e of course!! Senton 6s body cage..
I didn't really have the funds to go "all in" unfortunately, but then TC released the Asuga. I thought, nevermind the 1/8 sct, lets just go Typhon XL!? I made it, it's great! I just need the Asuga body and Talion wing/mount to finish it off now..
FWIW, there is a member over on AF who took my recommendation on the SC8e Hobao body and built exactly what I had planned.. I'll see if I can find the thread. The Hobao body fits pretty well but, something is off on the width of his build as the tires hang out past the body. That's not right for an SCT IMO 🤷‍♂️🤔

A ton of reading there 👍🏻 thank you . knowing what I know now , I wouldn’t have got the asuga , I’d have put Mojave arm on the kraton chassis , may get some parts from Jenny’s and give it a whirl when I fancy a change . I have a few days off work and asuga has been belting around the garden . It does handle really well , the stock wheel / tyre combo work well on grass , which is a huge bonus . Have also hit a bigger tree flat out and a steel post flat out too , it remains in damaged

Day two ....
Ear plugs in the centre diff works great
