Earlier this year i bought a brand new green Spark roller.
I had it sitting on the shelf untill i figured out what electronics and possible upgrades i wanted to use in it.
I finally decided to use a new, stock Torox 185 /Kuron 825 6s system, a Flysky receiver and a DS3235 servo.
I already have a modified Radix and a Typhon build that i mostly run when i visit @Rotauq on one of his track days.
So i decided not to upgrade anything and keep the Spark mostly stock this time.
After my first test run on the beach i usually run, the brand new servo already died.
So i put the car back on the shelf.
Yesterday i found the time to replace the DS servo with an Yipin servo.
And while i finished it all up, i found this:

Well, we were talking about cap's popping last week. This one certainly popped.
Id did, didn't it?
But this one is brand new. Just one run on it on a 16t pinion. That's what i've been running in the other 2 buggies, with the same ESC's, without problems.

Magic smoke = released! 😝

If that ESC is outside of it's warranty - just solder in a replacement cap. Doubt it would cost more than £1 to replace. 👌

It's waterproof. I bet everything is epoxied.
If it's not, my soldering is still not good enough for that.
