Any speed runners out there or idiots like me these new foam tires are pretty reasonably priced from perfect pass £20 pair if want put some numbers down. Good for 160mph. What is the fastest corally out there?

Or if your an idiot like me , you might be thinking off doing something stupid like this with them & burning up some $$$ in minutes but it does look like fun 😅

I think it's pretty safe to say I fit this description. 🤩 I wholeheartedly loathe foam tyres though. This isn't really what RC needs, but hey - 160 mph is fast enough for any Truggy, right?

What we need are scaled down versions of this:

It's the only way we'll see RC cars to 300mph plus.

To get perspective, 150mm belted rubber tyres have a circumference of 471mm.

To achieve 70 mph, the tyre has to spin at 4000rpm.

(471 x 4000 x 60 / 1000000 = 113 kph)
(113 / 1.609344 = 70 mph)

140mph = 8000rpm.

This would be around the point where most - if not all - belted rubber tyres would fail.

Here's a wheel and tyre combo being tested (no load) at 30,000 rpm!!

So, following on in the same logic....

210mph = 12000rpm

280mph = 16000rpm

350mph = 20000rpm

420mph = 24000rpm

And so on.

Best I’ve gone so far is 72moh with the Spark I have a few larger pinions I may try out just for some speed runs

That's awesome! That means your spark is already 3mph faster than my XTR running Onyx 6S on belted street tyres and 19/46 gearing!!! 😎
Wow I was 18 pinion with the stock center gear but also on a SMC hivolt pack they have proven to get me 4-7mph over a standard LiPo

Blew out another tire on the Kagama4 this time or can I say my grandson. We caught it before any damage, tried epoxy definitely a no go the China glue held much better. Anyways I ordered some glue’s yesterday have heard many say the gorilla glue works amazing figure why not try it
