Cheers mate, I've no idea what plastic it is ...Hahaha
I made them from one of my kids old ikea toybox.
I've made 3 sets, kronos, shogun, dementer.

Those are pretty nice.👍

lol, I find myself cannibalizing a lot of my daughter’s old stuff all the time. There’s definitely a ton of “not standard” parts on most of my cars.

I’ve been printing some plastic mud guards myself and I thought about having some thin gauge spring steel mud guards cut at work, we have a few water jet cutters and lasers that can cut some pretty delicate stuff. Really thin spring steel is interesting to me but it could also turn itself into high speed razor blades as well. 🤔

Hahaha yeah speed these things go they'd be lethal!!!
I've got a 3d printer, just thought I'd design and cut these myself plus help the planet and all that crap...Hahaha
The toyboxes were heading for the bin so happy days

Forgot to say mate,
You could make some metal blanks at your work, then just draw round them onto plastic and cut out.
I made a front blank and rear blank

I'll put some pics on of the shogun and dementer when I've fitted them.

You are likely losing air flow over the ESC and motor with those front guards, which could raise the temps significantly. I suggest you check temps with a temp gun with the guards installed and without the guards installed to see if there is a difference in temps that could stress your ESC, motor, and battery.

Thanks mate,

I've just never checked temps, I rarely use them for any long periods,
But point taken, as 2 members have mentioned temps and to be honest I never even give that a thought haha 😄.
I could modify them and fit a mesh panel? Or mesh panel the roof or screen???

So members
Can I have your thoughts or advice on whether to mesh the windscreen or roof or front guard???
Please advise, and I'll go with the majority/best ideas or advice.

Regards Ray

I don't know what your climate and driving style is. I would recommend just measuring the temps with a heat gun if you have one or don't mind getting one and otherwise just do the finger test. If it's too hot make a mesh intake, if it is cold/warm leave it as is.

I would guess it is too hot, as for me it was already too hot stock without a guard that limits airflow, I installed a motor fan.
