Stay tuned! 🤩👌

How will this stack up? Kagama LE, Kronos XTR and Kraton EXB V6 shootout - here we come! 😎

Shout-out to Rutt Rider who kindly brought the Kagama LE to SWRCCC at the weekend racing series round 3.

Pit table absolutely upside down and everything happening all at once. 😅

First job will be to install a FASST receiver and an XT90 battery connector.

Otherwise, I'm going to be running it completely as it arrived. No mods to this one.

First job: centre diff. Front O-ring is blowing oil, so I'm rebuilding it with new o-rings and green slime. Standard RTR issue and fairly common with the Corally stock diff.

44098.webp

Where the flimsy red O-ring sits (part C-00180-182) sealed up with green slime, as well as the inner part of the O-ring where the output shaft passes through.

The steel shim now sits on top of an impermeable layer of green slime. It's sealed now. Nothing is getting out.

It's important this part stays clean and that the holes for the screws don't get contaminated with diff fluid - otherwise your screws can back out.

I'm running with 100000wt - stock LE centre diff. Let's see how it goes with this.

Cause of leak:

The inner edge of the O-ring is marred. Either due to a burr, or possibly because the O-ring itself was malformed to begin with.

Have you bought it or just having a play with it?
It's a permanent addition to the fleet! 👌🤩 Chris has other projects that he's focusing on with his channel and he's back racing again now.

Kagama LE no.660 is now a Horatio project. 🤩

It needs a FASST receiver and a decent AGF 81BHMW. The current Spektrum S665 is marginal. The stock servo saver spring is extremely soft, so before I install the servo, I intend on upgrading with the trusty Lee Spring. 💪👍

I have the A73BHLW v2 in my LE and find it has more power than the Lee Spring can transfer reliably. Can you post a video and provide impressions of the A81 after install?

I broke the output gear on three Ipin GX3255’s before giving up on them. Hopefully the AGF servos last.

Here are the gears of the Ipin vs the AGF beside each other. The AGF are significantly wider.

Finally, AGF provides replacement gears. I ordered two sets.

Good to know about the YiPin/GX servos.. I have looked at them several times but never pulled the trigger. Also the AGFRC, just can't stomach the pricing. I can't see spending that much on a servo. I've been buying the DS and it's variants for about 6 years now. I know they're slow and likely not putting up the advertised torque but they're cheap as chips and out of nearly a dozen of them I've only had one (I think) failure. More than I can say for TC's servos, every one I or my brother ever had gave up almost immediately. Granted they were all RTR servos.

I have some spare AliExpress springs if want to try 1 them but as the Lee spring is your baby I understand if just want to go with it
