Understandable. And agree. As I think about it... it now almost seems suspect they went with spring steel as a business decision. I don't know any other manufacturer that does that. I wonder why they did that? Was it legit and at face value in order to make it stronger or did they recognize a problem with their prior design and then spin this spring steel as an upgrade? I'm not sure, and not saying there was any ill intent. I haven't looked at my radix cups lately but I run it on 6s exclusively and have put quite a few packs through it. And it's got the 'regular ' steel cups. I'll have to check it out.... because if there's a problem I'm sure they'd be showing it now. I have had problems with my shocks on the radix.... I replaced with xtr shocks. They seem stronger/stiffer. We'll seeI can understand a bad batch got unkowingly sent out. I'm just weary of spending money on upgrades that shouldn't be needed and possibly not be any better..
I know my arrma outdrive cups seem to have a non-cylindrical shape. They are more oval/rectangular shaped as opposed to circular I wonder if this different geometry adds strength.
