I was wondering, what kind of color the diff syrup would be after a couple of runs? I opened my middle diff and the color doesn't look that good to me.... It smells a little burned.

Looks familiar to me too.. I've always figured the fluid got dark from plastic contamination. The diff pictured is all metal tho..perhaps it's trace amounts of steel/aluminum that have discolored the fluid. The burnt smell is not something I have encountered tho. Silicone diff fluid doesn't have any smell that I've ever noticed? Hmm..

The strange thing is, that there aren't any rings or shims behind the small gears inside my diff. When there is space the gears can wobble and maybe loose some small metal particles and create a burned smell...? When i look at the spare parts you can order the 6 gears with 6 rings, the 4 on the right are for the small gears.

Mmm those shimms should be there, my center diff does have 'm. -1 for QC....

It has been assembled bij TC and i drove a couple of times because I didn't know. Now i know and my Radix6 is in his garage. I've sent a service request to TC with some pictures I have taken and waiting for their reply.

I have had a Kronos, Radix and Punisher, and out of the 9 diffs, 2 have come without shims. No issues, just repacked them and noticed they weren't in there.

Yup, sorry to hear, but I'd park it until you have the shims..FWIW, shims are fairly universal so if you can get the specs their probably pretty commonly found in other brands.

Thanks for the tip. I will wait and see what Team Corally has to say.

This thread serves at a good reason why I always prefer to go through all my RC's when I get a new one. I get it, stuff happens. I'd rather catch it when I take it out of the box rather than picking it up after a bashing session.
Well, aren't you just perfect!? HaHa..jk.
No doubt that's the best practice, but.. I'm really just too impatient TBH..😬😃😮😔 dang it! I shoulda listened to @WoodiE !!!🤣
