I hear you I run my rigs up to 3 times before the tear down mostly because I'm like a little kid wanting to play with a new toy but have to eat my nuggets first...

This thread serves at a good reason why I always prefer to go through all my RC's when I get a new one. I get it, stuff happens. I'd rather catch it when I take it out of the box rather than picking it up after a bashing session.

I always like to have one totally box stock run ( say half a pack ) to see what it's like before I tear into it like a man possessed but I also totally agree with @WoodiE a good tear down first will always find all the issues therefore saving you time and money in the long run..!!
