Homie you gotta fix your videos. Spamming ten 44 second YouTube videos is not entertaining in the least. Went to see at the park video and a get a 10 sec video of a few RC’s on your tailgate. Not trying to be mean just constructive criticism. I’m all for more entertaining videos on the YouTube’s but yours currently are irritating. Good luck and hope you can improve.

Oh no, I appreciate the comments! Not trying to spam, just don't have a handle on the media. I don't know how to combine a bunch of short clips into one video.

Yea, that I can’t help with that. I have no Interest in making videos but I think it you enjoy it then it shouldn’t be to bad. But then Everyone prefers different things. I enoy a little longer well edited video with commentary. Someone just driving with music blaring I definitely will not watch but others might like. Hope you can get it figured out as more informative, comparative, and interesting I’m always looking for. 👍

A few updates:
-More battery strap adjusting. I reversed the battery straps and it definitely makes it easier to loop through the buckle. I fold over the strap at the end so it won't come in contact with the center driveline. I still feel the Corally straps aren't that great so I'm sticking with the Arrma straps from a 4s Kraton.

- Gonna try out the 15T pinion on this rig on Wed. After watching Jaytee run one in his Video it seems like a lively option.

- JRC parts showed up today (1/31). Got a set of wide hubs and axle parts from a Kronos etc 6s truck platform. My goal is to run some larger wheels. This combo according to @razorrc widens the track 30mm but does diminish the steering response but allows for larger tire combos. The goal is for better control through the air. Depending on how adverse the steering changes are I may not keep it like this.
Ted is getting me squared away, a rear axle stub was missing from my order.

-Ordered a new set of wheels off Ebay. To go with the wider hub changes.

Well this evening was a 180 deg learing curve. Swapped in a 15T pinion. Pretty much needed to pull the whole top off this thing to remove the center diff case/ motor chassis mount. Was hoping to just remove the motors fasteners and pull the motor but I didn't have a hex key that could access the lower bolt. Between the high chassis tray, the Receiver box, and the center bracing I was unable to access the lower bolt with a key and still be able to twist the screw out.

Plan B. Slide the center diff up... eeeeeh maybe. It's still pretty tight. The tower braces and the F/R out drive cups kinda make this difficult so I removed the two C-diff/motor mount chassis screws and out it came.

Well now that I have all this out anyway, I might as well service the center diff. It was at least packed with grease, and more than enough to prevent damage. Good build quality TC!🤟
I lubed the diff with 100k silicone, closed it back up, and swapped out the pinion to a 15T I had that was in decent shape.
I Locktited all the relevant fasteners ( previously done by TC) and buttoned her back up. ***TC slipped in a tiny piece of tubing into the rear outdrive cup in the center diff.*** Its in a pic below right above the rear dogbone.

Here's the completed job with the C-diff shield off and 15T pinion.

I removed all 4 body posts from the towers so I could access the center chassis brace hardware at the top of the towers. There may be a simpler way, but I couldn't see one worthwhile. I did discover the center braces slip apart, so you may be able to just remove the central tower screw and pull them off the tower mounts... (I didn't try)

All in all a simple job made complicated by limited access to the motor mount screws. Looks like I may need to update my small tool inventory. If I had a short bit driver I probably could've just pulled the pinion off in a few min. I wanted to service these diffs anyway, so it was a successful job IMO. 1 down, 2 diffs to go.

In this pic here I'm pointing at a tweaked shock tower. Just noticed it for the 1st time. I think my first run of this thing was when this happened.

Dang! You’ve been giving that thing the proper bashing 🤘🏻😎

Learning curve for sure.. glad you got er done though. Can’t wait to see what you think of the 15T

It's getting some love tomorrow. Can't wait to rip on this pinion. Maybe the tires will baloon?... 🤣
I didn't notice the rear tower tweak until I was re-installing the body mounts. Put a straight edge across the two corners and there's a gap in the middle. Oh well, it's nothing too serious yet.😝

15T pinion.
She boogies for sure. Punch is at 4 and she wheelies from a dig. No roll on wheelies however.

Man this body is getting thrashed, cracks, holes, rash... Two tethers split yesterday so I yanked em. Lost one screw from a front body mount. It pulled out and the mount was hanging off one screw and quite loose as well. The bumper is hangin' on barely.
Beginning to think I need a new handle...

I might need a new body by the time the Killaramp shows up...😬
Mechanically still good though!💪

This thing screams on 15T. Stupid me forgot the IR scanner so I had to guess by touch. The motor was much cooler but could still use another fan. Figured between 140-150 ish. Gonna charge up another pack and give her a run in a bit. I'll try to post up a short clip later today.
Pretty much tore up the body, gonna duct tape it for now. Can't wait on shoe goo... gotta have her ready for a family bash session tomorrow.
The front body mounts are now pulling out. I'm gonna have to put a longer screw in them for now until the replacements arrive from @Built4SpeedRC.

Original screws int the middle ( one is bent), 1 swapped in screw to the right (also bent now) and the two new ones on the left I changed out after drilling pilot holes through the mounts and posts.

Giving it hell! Looks like it handled it pretty well! 🤘🏻💪🏻

We may have a problem here...
Front A-arms cracking.
Still sending it anyway. 😈

So I've been running a 15T pinion for a few weeks and initially I thought the temps were getting pretty high. I have hit the thermal cutoff and scanning motor temps in the low 190s the ESC had been hitting 160s as well. After adding the heatsink and fan combo in the motor it seemed to help but then I did the wide hub and Kaiju wheel conversion. Although for short bursts it seems to be handling it I am getting thermal cutoff after doing a combination of bashing mixed with full speed runs.
The rotation seems to be improved with the larger tire combo but it's not quite enough and the heat is a concern for me living in FL.
With that said I tried to snag a JRC torox 185 today but it appears I was too slow in submitting the payment and was beat to the punch by one or two others waiting for the same part.
I'm gonna try this Max8 combo and bump up the pinion to a 17T. It just arrived this evening and I'm tied up for the next couple of days but I'm hoping this works, if not I'll use this combo in an XTR that I hope to have within the next few months.

I see in your post above the Max8 combo you have got is the one with the 2600kv motor, I would strongly advise not going straight to the 17T pinion..!!
That motor is generally used in buggies which are lighter than the Sketer and you may end up with the same heat issues again, I would start with the stock 13T and work your way up from there..🤔

Got it. Thanks!

I swapped out the ESC and motor for a Max8 and Kuron 185 motor with a 17T pinion. Fugger will do standing flips now😜 but still gets pretty hot without a motor fan. 😬Waiting on shipping for a fan that will help wrangle in the heat. 8 mins in FL grass shut this set-up down as I slammed into thermal cutoff.

I discovered today that the the left rear driveshaft is bent as well. This occurred sometime during my previous bash sessions. This thing has been benched for a couple of weeks while I've been sorting out the motor and ESC combo.

I replaced the cracked front lower A-arms and installed a fan on the motor. Figured this would move some air but it's still not keeping up with the heat. Gonna knock the pinion back to 15T and swap out the Redcat wheel combo to Backflip LPs and see how she does. I swapped out all the diff jizz to 100k, 1 Mil, 50k ( f,c,r).
I toasted a used battery battery pack in yesterday's session, so I really need to get this heat in check!
