Haven't been feeling the love with the Skeeter lately so its been sitting in a state of disrepair for a couple of weeks. Between my heat issues and signal problems with the warranteed radio set its been benched. Been running my K4 instead until I bent the motor mount last week.
Today, I finally broke down and spent a couple of hours this afternoon sorting out the issues. The tower was broken, one rear dog bone was toast, the rear shock tower was pretty bent, the new ESC/ motor combo has been hitting thermal in 5 min or less, and my new motors cooling fan was junk.
I cut down the arms on the tower since one leg had snapped, and drilled out new holes for the mounting pins.
Replaced the bent dog bone.
I decided to finally flatten out the shock tower ( I have a new one but figured this was worth a shot 1st). Came out good and I kinda like the dimpled look.

Check this gap after I flattened out the tower...
For the heat issues I'm trying a single power hobby 40mm fan on a single clamp style fan mount.
I replaced the Kaiju wheel/tires back to stock and took her for a run. Hoping to test out the fan and heat soak problems but this happened 3 min in...
Time to mod one of my Arrma joints...

Luck 'O the Irish I guess...
