What’s the dimensions on the Shiroi stock tires? Thinking they’re close to Mojo/UDR?Some use the Arrma Mojave 4s ones. I really like the Proline Hyrax for Traxxas UDR. It requires buying both wheels and tires and a Dremel to remove the Traxxas slots in the wheels, making the 5mm hole a 8mm hole for the Corally CVD to fit through and glueing the tires. May sound like a lot, but definitely worth it IMO. Way better than the (too soft) stock tires. Very good grip and they seem to last forever in the dirt.
Haven’t got the stock tires anymore as they all damaged (cuts in the sidewalls). The Hyrax for UDR are a bit bigger, but do like nicer IMO on the Shiroi. Same diameter as Mojave 6s tires. What’s the dimensions on the Shiroi stock tires? Thinking they’re close to Mojo/UDR?
I’m still searching for the right tires for clay (mini pin type) for both the Mojo and UDR.
I imagine the Hyrax would work better as they’re probably a nice soft compound but the tread just doesn’t fit for hard clay. Plus the work/expense.
I’m running the PL Mirage TT on the Mojo 6s atm, keep swapping back and forth with the UDR between Fortress 6s and truggy race tires, which requires +10mm adapters due to zero offset truggy wheels.
The truggy (AKA I-Beam) get too much traction, tearing up drivetrain parts as well as much traction rolling. Fortress are similar to stock with what I think is slightly better grip. Neither has really impressed me on the UDR though.
The Mirage TT are quite good on the Mojo for me.
I’m still lokng for that unicorn.. 5.25-5.5” tall by 2-2.5” wide minipin..
I did look up the Shiroi tire diameter, the google machine says 120mm, about 4.75”Haven’t got the stock tires anymore as they all damaged (cuts in the sidewalls). The Hyrax for UDR are a bit bigger, but do like nicer IMO on the Shiroi. Same diameter as Mojave 6s tires.
Buggy tires on a Shiroi looks a bit odd (small), but maybe if you lower the body it looks better. Running buggy tires definitely opens up a lot of options; many different buggy tires to choose from and a lot friendlier on the wallet.I did look up the Shiroi tire diameter, the google machine says 120mm, about 4.75”
1/8 buggy run between 4 and 4.5” bit I’m pretty sure all mine are closer to 4”. Might be suitable for a Shiroi on an oval?
Definitely not a Mojo or UDR, at least not for me.

I imagine the Shiroi could handle truggy race tires/wheels much better than a UDR. The UDR drivetrain consists mainly of 1/10 sized components. The stress of traction from the truggy tire’s wreaks havoc on the driveline, also requires +10mm axle adapters to fit. Not ideal.Buggy tires on a Shiroi looks a bit odd (small), but maybe if you lower the body it looks better. The Mojo fits truggy wheels and tires just fine but is too heavy, shreds sidewalls.. Shiroi looks like an easy fit for truggy, especially considering how high the body sits from factory. Don’t have one so I don’t know for sure.
I have a set from AliEx on my UDR atm. These also so work well on the Shiroi. Same size as the Mojave 6s and UDR, so a little bit bigger than stock. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EyxVbVy
Those look A LOT like the Hyrax I haveI have a set from AliEx on my UDR atm.
Funny, I paid $37 for the set in 2024, double that now.
These work pretty well on clay believe it or not. Minimal tread depth which I was a bit disappointed in. I bought them for my Mojave 6s as I didn’t have the UDR yet. Shelved them for awhile then recently decided to try on the UDR since I didn’t care for them on my Mojo. The UDR needs some slip, otherwise it just breaks, LOL.

IDK, maybe some resemblance, but the Hyrax have widely spaced deep lugs. These have maybe 2mm tread depth at best new.. on loose terrain these are a joke. Purely for aesthetics I'd say. The side lugs look the part, that's about it. However there are other tread patterns available from same seller that would likely be a better choice for loose terrain. Those look A LOT like the Hyrax I have.
I think these are the Hyrax knockoffs.. Type B.Those look A LOT like the Hyrax I have.
Yes, as far as I can tell, those look identical.I think these are the Hyrax knockoffs.. Type B.
