Zap Thin is also thinner than water and penetrates everything, so requires great care.

I'm thinking that they're both CA, branded differently. 🤔
They say it developed by Schumacher drivers, I think core rc, fastrax & Schumacher all under the same corporate umbrella but don’t quote me on that

Well I wish there was such a thing when I was trying to keep my Yellow mini spikes from blowing off my Cat 3000 at BRCA nationals. 🤣

At the time, I was just using regular household super glue.😅

I just need to make sure I get this tire glued by the weekend Jude will be bummed if he can’t play with the Kagama4

Seems I need more the stuff outta date 😅

I have a good amount of different types just being on the air side never needed for tires before 🙊 got an update and all the glue will be here tomorrow so gonna prep the wheel/tire today. Grandkids will get here Saturday should give plenty of time to cure

Kinda disappointed ordered the glues early this week got a email I won’t receive until Saturday. Going to stop by a hardware store today they will have the Gorilla hobby shop didn’t have any yesterday
Gorilla glue will work in a pinch I’ve seen rc dude81 use it and he sends it

Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of choice the boys will get here in the morning, I’d like to glue today and let sit overnight for him. All but my road tires are good for the Spark that’s definitely to much power for him even if I went to 4s

Could run it on 3s if you have any 3s Lipo’s or you could just turn down the throttle trim to 50%-75%

Packs I’m really good on from 2 through 6’s for 8 so on I run series 4’s etc. I’m still learning the MT12 finally got timer, it to talk with a few other things. So much different to set up than Spektrum air side

Well not so good first try at glueing tires guys this is ugly. I have another I’m going to use the Gorilla glue only on this one I tried the rubber super glue just not fast enough to get the bead right before it stuck. Have another cooking right now that I’ll glue shortly let set overnight and share how it goes 🤪. I’ll try this one for backyard bashing if it comes apart great I can redo it. I am also sealing rim holes and doing 4 small holes in the tires as seems everyone suggests doing

Was hoping you’d say that ( long as they stay glued ) wasn’t looking forward to taking that one back apart. Boys will get here this afternoon will update how each type of glue is doing. Gorilla seems much easier to work with the CA reminded me of why I don’t use super glue that much anymore

It’s not that bad once you’ve done a few. They’re are tips you get for ca glue very thin make it bit easier to apply look for super glue micro nozzles

Personally - I don't recommend drilling the tyres.

If you drill the wheels, you can always cover them when it's wet to prevent water getting in. If you drill the tyres, water will always be able to enter your foams. And sand. Or dirt.

There is a school of thought that if you drill the tyres, it lets the water out.

This is like using the analogy 'I leave by front door open to let the burglars out'. 🤭

Once again glad I’m here and only did 1 set the knowledge is great from you guys

Look at this pair of wheels over on the Arrma Forum. This is what was found inside. The inserts are destroyed.

The notion that the holes 'let stuff out' is overshadowed by the cold hard fact that they also 'let more stuff in'. Facts!

Centrifugal force will force some of what's got in out through holes drilled into tyres and many 1/8th racers choose to drill their tyres AND their rims. Not all though.

Many rims have a pre-drilled on the heavy side of the wheel. You'll note that tyres are never supplied pre-drilled. Ask yourself: why is this?

Water and dirt ingress gets in 3 ways.

Past the tyre bead where it has unbonded

In through wheel vent

In through tyre vent

Ultimately, the user has to decide what suits their conditions best. Is it wet, dusty or sandy?

I think a set of 1/10 tyres drilled for indoor carpet racing where there's nothing more than fluff to deal with would be okay. Just not outside on dirt, damp or wet.

Perhaps allowing stuff to get out through holes works under certain circumstances and I have raced 1/10th 4wd mod buggy on grass with vented tyres in dry conditions, but 99% of the time ran with vented wheels only and had been my preference since.

In wet weather, taped over the holes with waterproof tape.

For bashing, the tyre equalisation is less of a concern than it might be for a racer trying to achieve fastest possible times.

When tyres are squished, generally, you do want them to return to shape and conform to the insert asap.

However, this should not come at the expense of heavy, unbalanced wheels filled with all manner of crap! 🤣✌️
