Looks nice! I have the red one! And your grandson is lucky. 👍🏼
I left the stock pinion in for now but it’s still fast enough for me. And I fixed my cvd as well but I certainly want the fix now.

Did you add a fan to the motor on the kagama when you upped the pinion gear? If so what did you get and I assume there was an open spot on the esc? Can you take a pic please? I am new to this but am learning. I work in all 3 of my current RC’s but just basic stuff like changing the shock fluid, diffs etc but have not added any fans yet. Haven’t needed too.

I added a fan to my Spark so far, for me picking up a simple Y splitter is the easiest route. For fans and bracket I purchased the TC bracket and there aluminum fan, super easy to hook up the bracket is attached with 2 straps ( provided by white I had black so used them ) you will need 2-4 screws I can measure mine for ya to attach the fan inside the bracket for ya. Y cable wise just unplug the fan connector on the ESC plug in the new Y then attach both motors to the Y side. I added a few more Zip ties to make sure no wires were hitting like the driveshaft etc. So far unless I’m running a SMC hi-voltage battery mine hasn’t had overheating issues on standard batteries. Here a pic on the Spark exact same thing I will do to the Kagama4 also and wasn’t expensive

Oh okay. Easy day! Thanks

I think a 15-16 pinion is a sweet spot for me and I turned punch up to 4 mine didn’t like 5 on loose gravel so I went back to 4. I’m new also to the car side of RC but she will back flip no issues, one thing I also did was to replace only the rear diff output cups with the TC Swiss spring steel ones. Very easy to do and have had zero wear since, oops also installed the TC aluminum center diff but to be honest the factory seemed good to go
