Stefan sounds like a lovely man. But he ain't saying anything.Yeah I don’t know, I broke both Asuga upper arms, but the new ones I bought have held up fine. I think it’s a bad batch, but obviously Stefan would know more.
Here ya go@AnthonyJaques, please could you get a photo of the fracture face of the broken bit please, just the section that I've (badly) circled and arrowed?

Yes very much soOn the initial photo of the fracture, there's a shiny section, which might indicate a lack of fusion between the 2 surfaces, and hence a weak point. Does the fracture face have areas that look different? Can you get a photo of the break across the cross-section?
The break down by the pillow ball thread also doesn't look like a normal break in fibre reinforced polymer, possibly suggesting that the 'surface optical effect' penetrates quite a way into the bulk of the material, knocking down the material strength by quite a margin.![]()

None here, we zip tied my brothers and he ran it that day, haven't seen the Asuga since. That was a few months ago. I don't think he was particularly impressed with it. I liked it, but he hasn't even mentioned the Asuga. Happens when one has too many I guess, LOL.So, is there any update on this? Did you guys get replacement parts?

Well that's the moulding defect we discussed previously. We'd all hoped it had just gone away. The upper arms on my Asuga have split on the seams. The car is about 10 months old now. We had a couple of cartwheels, no bad crashes.
I noticed a lot of slop and decided to take the arms out for inspection.

Yip my Kagama has them on the front lower arms was a bit worried but had it since September last year and it's been a tank, checked the arms every now and then and the lines have not turned into cracks. There's probably lots of arms around with the famous flow-line defects. Looks like another pair have been found![]()
