Maiden bash, post all the upgrades..
Didn't go too well as you'll see from the pictures
The car hit a divot in the ground, took off through the air at nearly max speed, it then bounced and landed on the rear wing snapping the mount clean off, also snapped one of the front shock mounts clean off too..!!! Front tower is perfectly straight and the wing is not broken, believe it or not but the buggy drove away from this crash and back to the carpark
The damage when I first saw it was horrific and I thought it was toast, but when I started to strip it down when I got home turns out this thing is pretty tough, the shock shafts aren't even bent..!!! ( Arrma tough Arrma wishes it was this tough.!! )
This is all that is broken.. wing mount, shock protector caps x2 , shock standoff x1, M3x 20mm bolts x2..
Only two protectors are broken, the other two are just scuffed up
The most amazing thing is this is the tower after spending 15 minutes in my vise being coerced back into shape little bit of vise rash when finished and it's all good and ready for another day...!!
Just need to order the broken parts and I'm good to go
So all in all its first bash was fun what I learnt though was...
The Corally springs are too soft for bashing, they maybe ok for racing. ( also need to adjust my shock oils )
Fitted a 17T pinion and it made this thing stupid fast, max punch on the Torox ESC is crazy and I may have to turn it down..!!
This would be the first ever RC I've owned that needed the punch turning down..!!
Didn't like the grip much with the stock tyres, but at least they didn't come unglued, I will run them again though.
@3D-RC.online have you finished the design for your wing mount yet..!!!??? I may need some...
