Maiden bash, post all the upgrades..
Didn't go too well as you'll see from the pictures 😉🤣

The car hit a divot in the ground, took off through the air at nearly max speed, it then bounced and landed on the rear wing snapping the mount clean off, also snapped one of the front shock mounts clean off too..!!! Front tower is perfectly straight and the wing is not broken, believe it or not but the buggy drove away from this crash and back to the carpark 🤪

The damage when I first saw it was horrific and I thought it was toast, but when I started to strip it down when I got home turns out this thing is pretty tough, the shock shafts aren't even bent..!!! ( Arrma tough 🤣 Arrma wishes it was this tough.!! )

This is all that is broken.. wing mount, shock protector caps x2 , shock standoff x1, M3x 20mm bolts x2..
Only two protectors are broken, the other two are just scuffed up 😉

The most amazing thing is this is the tower after spending 15 minutes in my vise being coerced back into shape 😉🤣 little bit of vise rash when finished and it's all good and ready for another day...!!

Just need to order the broken parts and I'm good to go 😎

So all in all its first bash was fun 🤣 what I learnt though was...
The Corally springs are too soft for bashing, they maybe ok for racing. ( also need to adjust my shock oils )
Fitted a 17T pinion and it made this thing stupid fast, max punch on the Torox ESC is crazy and I may have to turn it down..!!
This would be the first ever RC I've owned that needed the punch turning down..!!
Didn't like the grip much with the stock tyres, but at least they didn't come unglued, I will run them again though.

@3D-RC.online have you finished the design for your wing mount yet..!!!??? 🤣😉 I may need some...

might as well buy yourself a stack of replacement towers from Jenny's to have on hand, ive been there with my Python

Actually I have but decided last min it needs a small revision. I am trying to accommodate the arrma wheelie bar into the design Incase people want one with 2 wheels instead of one

Parts came..!! 😁

Never realised that the wing mount had two positions, high and low 🤔 if you look at the shock tower you'll see double holes, stock was the upper holes I've re-fitted the wing mount now onto the low position and it looks much better 👍🏼 ( will get better pic soon )

IMG_3615.jpeg

I also got the hard buggy springs, but to me they feel too hard for off road use so I've fitted some Typhon springs as they feel stiffer than stock but softer than the hard Corally springs..

All fixed and ready to break again 🤣🤣

I'd get the 7075 tower, I had a 50mph landing from an 8 foot jump, upside down wing first. snapped all four bolts hold the wing support on but the tower is still dead straight.

It took me a minute to realize that was vice marks on the shock tower. I was like that is an odd finish for a shock tower :ROFLMAO:

Whoops, I broke it again..!!
Hit a log in some tall grass

Rear arm, swaybar drop link, camber link...
I didn't even notice the damage until the car started to steer from the rear..:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Fitted some mesh to the ESC after I stripped the damaged parts off..

Ordered spares, now the waiting game  going to change the shock oils to something a little heavier in the meantime.
