Sorry for the silly questions but I bought a used Syncro that has a 17 T pinion and the ESC is Hobbywing WP10BL120.
I believe everything else should be stock.

The batteries are these : Turnigy Rapid 4S2P 8000mAh 14.8V 140C Lipo Battery w/XT90

I assume my charger will be able to charge them, a SKY RC T100. It can only charge at 5A so I can not charge them at 1C but am I right in thinking I can charge tham at 4A so 0.5C. The specs say it can charge upto 4S LIPO`s with 100 mah to 50000 mah

thanks for the help, I`m trying to learn but its just some little details that throw me off

That’s your limit

The Skyrc T100 looks to be 100 watts total output, so 50 watts/channel.
On a 4s pack, the 50 watts will only get a charge current of 50W / 4*4,2V = about 3Amps.
To get a 1c charge, you'll need a charger capable of about 150 watts/channel (to give a bit of headroom) on those 8000mAh Turnigy packs.

Thanks for the reply.
Would it still be possible to charge them though, at a lower rate.
I don't mind if it takes longer.

Or would it just take a silly amount of time...

That all depends on how patient / impatient you are. Of course you can charge at a low rate, it just makes things quite slow, but some say that a slow charge rate is safer/better for the packs. Personally I like to use a 1c rate normally, or if I want to get out, a bit quicker at 2c (check the packs max charge rate though).

Yes the rapid 8000mah the one you've got will 1000% fit the syncro, and all the corally cars to, with ease

I doubt that battery will fit without pushing the bodyshell up.

I find that soft case packs fit the best. Almost every hard case 4S pack is standard size and are too tall.

I run soft case 5k mah gensacearespammers or Overlander packs.

I tried to fit my 8k mah Onyx Performance 120c hard case into the Syncro, it did not fit at all, the bodyshell was impossible to fit.

Another consideration is to keep the Syncro light weight, any more than 5k mah will be adding quite a lot of weight which could impact durability and will cause extra strain on the electronics as well as faster wear on the driveline.

The battery arrived because I was too late to cancel the order.
As you say the bodyshell pushes up quite badly so I will have to use my 3S softpack and get a fairly slim 4S softpack sometime in the future.
And yes the battery is quite heavy feeling at 650 grams.

Ahh that's bad luck, can you still return it or are you stuck with it? Some vendors are funny about returning lipos
