I didn't want to hijack anyones thread with my crazy ideas so started a new thread 😉

Question/suggestion..

I see people are widening their Sketer's with..
C00180-341 Front CVDs
C00180-368-2 Rear Axles
C00180-108 Wide steering block
C00180-114 Rear uprights Wide

But my thinking is what about if you went the other way, keep all the Sketer hub carriers, axles etc as I believe you wouldn't loose the steering feel doing it this way..!!
( would be an easy conversion if you own a Kronos etc )
C-00180-341 Front CVD's
C-00180-367 Rear dogbones
C-00180-100-2 Lower arms front
C-00180-101-2 Upper arms front
C-00180-099-2 Rear arms
C-00180-039 Ball ends
C-00180-144-2 steering turnbuckles
C-00180-041 Ball ends
C-00180-143-2 Camber turnbuckles
Not sure if you would need to swap the shocks 🤔

I think this would give you a MT410 stance style of truck, it would be very square as wide as it is long 😉🤣 or have I just built a Dementor..!!🤔

Interesting idea. More expensive maybe but with the longer arms, I would think it might handle better? Seems like you would still need the wider steering blocks and rear hubs?

Ha, I was just thinking if it would end up being Dementor, but just a bit thinner.

Shorter dementor I think. 🤔 if I recall the sketer chassis is all new and shorter than the python/dementor/jambo..

Someone correct me if I’m wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have extra parts.. I may experiment 🤔🤔

Yeah, you could easily make a Skementor with the wide parts, which would make for a really nice stunt truck. I have everything needed, but you would also want the shock towers (and long shocks?) because of the increased leverage on the arms. I haven't checked if the long arm shock towers fit on the Sketer.

It's a project I was planning to do at some point, but by the time I was done they probably would have already released a Dementor V3 (my guess, I have no inside knowledge).

I'm fairly sure the Sketer and the Dementor chassis are the same wheelbase.

I don't think so, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Shogun/Muraco have long arms and narrow stubs 👍🏼

@razorrc @RCproponent .. You's two better get experimenting and let us all know if this works 😉🤣🤣🤣

Hmm.. maybe some Kronos Swiss 7075 towers while I’m at it.. and get that custom body goin.. haha

The Sketer have the same wheelbase as a Jambo Dementor so with your idea you would basically create a narrower Jambo/Dementor, yes the Shogun/Muraco have the narrow hubs. Seen it done a couple of times, people putting long arms on a Typhon but it's like @razorrc basically says, longer arms usually needs taller towers/shocks

i'm not straight out gonna recommend these hex adapters as the GPM quality might not be for everyone, they have however worked for me on several cars inc the Kronos. Plus side is you wouldn't have to modify the TRX rims if you want to run those and ofc they widen as well, the wider hubs are probably the best way of widening but these might be an alternative for some.

Good idea and i think you are right on with the steering feel.
Similar to the wide kitts from Traxxas and what Chinese people do with their legs :ROFLMAO:

Seems I did hijack somebody's thread (RCP's Sketer build.........sorry brother), postulating the same idea after folks had already thought of it......dangit.🙃
