That last time i ran my truck i caught a 2in thick tree root with the front bumper. Stopped it dead in the tracks and broke the tree root. Thought every thing was fine, untill i went to rebuid the center diff. The carbon support is broke and the chassie has just the slightest bend

I am suprised that that is the only damage. It hit the tree root hard enough to break it

It's the perfect excuse to buy the 7075 one yes. But at the same time, what would have happened if you had that 7075 brace on when you crashed like that? Something else would have broken, or bent?

I doubt it, the chassie has only about a 32nd worth of bow in it. Carbon fiber is hard and stiff, but its brittle and does not like shock.

Exactly, that's what I mean if that part hadn't broken because it was 7075 perhaps the damage would have been worse somewhere else.

I get what you are saying, but in this instance. No i think if i had the 7075 brace nothing would have broke or bent

Hmm, do you REALLY have the XTR Kronos? On the "regular" Kronos the center part stiffener won't fit (afaik). In combination with the brace kit it's obsolete anyway...

Mine came today, along with the tower 2 tower brace. that thing is going to be a pita
