TBH - I've never had any issues with the TC serrated wheel nuts - I tighten by hand to my near max strength, then I unscrew by 90 degrees - honestly, it's never failed me. Maybe I'm lucky having hands like a Gorilla :)

I used locite once and never again the wheel nuts got stuck real tight & had to hacksaw the wheels off, and the locite is the sort that allows you to undo nuts (forget which colour red /blue)

Oh poop. Will drive it tomorrow, haven't driven it after the loctite cured.

JUST TO ADD TO ABOVE!

> I just take plenty of nuts now and if a wheel goes flying I simply get another nut ~ sorted! But not had any problems of late 😁

I never use loctite on my wheel nuts. Serrated wheel nuts are the solution.

Ideally, closed wheel nuts - because they stop crud getting in. These ones also have a rubber o-rings in addition to serrations.

When using threadlock, think very, very carefully before using anything stronger than Loctite 242.

So this morning, I was ready to drive my Kagama 6s.

I dropped my kid at school and went directly to the bmx site. I parked the car, I put the battery (freshly charged) in the Kagama and drove off.
I think 30 meters (we work in meters) from the parking spot, maybe less, my rear right wheel fell off.

So somewhere between parking to walking to the bmx site, I lost a wheelnut.
Apparently I also lost the 17mm pin.

Before the comments about the TC wheelnuts.
I bought the Arma serraded wheelnuts which became loose too (luckily 1).
I also bought some wheelnuts from Aliexpress, also serraded.

After this incident, I used the old TC wheelnuts with some locktite.
My question : what do you guys use?
Never had a problem with the serrated nuts.
