I’ve never ran these on my kagama, but am interested in seeing replies. Do you run on 4s or 6s? The reason I ask is the stock tires are unbelted and on 6s they balloon too much for my liking. On 4s they balloon an appropriate amount to give it some more gearing. I’m also on stock spur and 12t pinion (down 1T from stock).
Another way to look at it is my truck goes 45-48 mph on 4s. That’s the configuration I like best and I like tires that are unbelted, allowing some blooning.
On my maxx slash with skeeter tires on 6s, I gorilla tape them to limit blooning. Before taping, the truck was nuts. The speeds were too high and it had no stability. After taping it’s manageable as I can sort of steer it at 69 mph. On 4s with untaped tires, it was a hoot. It did maybe 45 mph on 4s. With the taped tires it lost some top end, but it’s still fun to drive.
I hope this helps to give you some things to think about for choosing tires.
