I'm running a torox 185 with a corally raycon 825 4 pole 2200kv sensored motor. I'm running this setup in my kagama 6s. I can run for about 5 mins then the speedo thermals. I'm running a 13t pinion and stock spur with zeee 6000Mah 100c batteries. Any help would be appreciated.

Does your esc fan work? Without a proper working fan the esc can overheats pretty easily.
Or maybe there is some binding somewhere in the drivetrain causing the motor asking more amps than the esc can handle.

Welcome to the forum.

Kagama 6S is a heavy rig and the 2200KV is a hot motor. 13t is about the highest gearing you can get away with, but if anything binds or if there's a mechanical issue on the rig - your Speedo will just say 'no'.

The Kuron 825 is 2050kv and that will shut down the Speedo if you start having too much fun.

I think you should gear down a tooth or 2 and try again. 👍

Check fan working or maybe even upgrade it, that motor abit more spicy than the Kuron so going to pull more amps so more work for esc plus the kagama a big girl.

Think 30mm fan fits. Also that motor I know you need to solder you own wires, bad solder connection or to thin gauge wire could cause issues also

Thanks for the information. the truck is brand new only ran it four times. I'm replacing the fan. stock fan runs 14,000 rpm I'm going with a hv fan that runs 28,000 rpm that should help. I think I'm gonna put the kuron 825 motor in it. that should help also. I went through the truck when I got it topped off all the fluids. drive train is smooth and free. I do beat on it pretty hard but it's a blast to drive.

If I put the kuron 825 motor in will the 13t pinion be ok?
Run a 14t and the 825 motor with a fan on it. Should be fine. I have it on my Sketer. That thing is heavy 2. I updated the fan from the ESC. Heat issues solved.

Yes - but the motor will run hot and require dual fans.

Now that you have fans, you need to ensure they don't get blocked with debris when you run off road, so invest in a shroud.

I'm running dual fans on motor. I don't see a shroud for the kagama. is it the universal shroud? If so what size do I need?

Looking at the picture of your ESC it doesn't look like you have an extra capacitor. I had the same issue with my Kronos XTR with the Torox 185 and Kuron 825 motor and Corally support recommended this part - HWA30840000.

If you call their warranty team they will give you one for free with instructions on how to solder it on (or you can find a YouTube video). I am not sure when the Raycon came out but they didn't include these capacitors on the older model Corally's but the newer Torox ESCs have them.

Hope this information is helpful.

Here is a picture of a Torox 185 from a Kagama. See the extra capacitor on the cable going to the battery connector.

I run a dusty motors shroud on my XTR and T2E.
