Hello đź‘‹,

After some wisdom as never bent a metal chassis before.
What are the chances that my chassis is fubar , if I straighten it back is it more than likely going be the weak point on it from now on and bend again easier?

The front kick up on the chassis is bent to oneside after a almighty crash landing, still very much drivable.

I can get them pretty cheap from breakers so that's not an issue if need be.

Cheers :)

I never bent one myself. I’d plan on getting one from a breaker so things are as aligned as best as possible. In the meantime, if it drives ok, send it until a new one arrives.

Not really worth trying to bend it back. It will be difficult to get it exactly back to how it was before.

By bending it back, that area would be weaker anyway so is more likely to bend again on another bad crash.

I would recommend the chassis brace, I have it on my Syncro and it does help with chassis rigidity.

The one time I bent the chassis was from hitting a kerb head on at just the right height to impact the chassis. Bent it pretty badly!
