Now and then, if a wheel nut comes loose I will round the hex out.

My mate with a Dementor running 4S has just swapped to Kagama wheels and first bash out he stripped a hex whereas running the Jambo/Dementor wheels he's never stripped a single one. The hex is shallower on the Kagama wheels allowing to use the thinner cheaper chinese hexes which was part of the reason for changing to Kagama wheels. You can't use the thinner hexes on the Jambo wheels or it binds.

Bit of a waffle there but my question I suppose is, are stock Kagama 6 wheels crap?

Don’t know if crap but the Kronos came with same tires but different rim not sure if it would be the same or better but don’t think corally sell that wheel anymore but there’s some on eBay, I could measure the depth of mine when get home later see if any different.

I have had no trouble with the stock Kagama 6s wheels and one of the rear ones is pretty worn on the hex from landing on power too many times and stripping many diff gears 😅 but the hex survived and is still working ok 👍.

I always check the wheel nuts before and after a lipo swap, been using plumbers tape on the wheel nut threads and nothing backs off plus arrma serrated wheel nuts have helped.
