I'm considering trying these with some 3D printed wheels as street bash tires. They are super cheap and made out of hard automotive rubber so they should stand up to drifting and power sliding on rough asphalt for a while.

The OD of the tire is 5.5x2" and the inner diameter is 85mm / 95mm with a 24mm wide "step" I plan on designing a two piece wheel that will screw together from each side like a beadlock wheel and be secured to the tire with super glue. The wheels will be made of SLS nylon printed by JLCPCB.

I put cheap fake hoons off AliExpress on my buggy they where terrible the buggy handled terrible it just hopped & skipped everywhere with no grip as tires where so hard like bricks they will last a long time as they where so bad to run I only ran them once & pulled them off. If your sliding your rc about on tarmac your going to be going through sets of tires at a fair rate just try find a budget set your happy to run & replace on regular basis

Sounds like an interesting project to take on, I like the thinking out of the box approach, will be following along to see how it turns out . 👍🏽

With this setup tires start to go bald in about 10 packs on asphalt. Yes I know a 1717 in a 1/8 buggy is dumb.
