So when visiting my lhs the other day.. I was introduced to carpet buggies!
So now I want to DESTROY all the racers and their dreams!!!👹👹👹☠️ respectively of course lol. So being that I feel both TC and arrma will be dropping some game changers this year.. im going to hold off on getting something big for now. Everyone on here has so much experience and having that shared means the world to me because yall could just not say a word! So THANK YOU! ALL OF YOU!...but now I want to know all about these smaller scale buggies!! First question obviously is what does TC have pertaining to carpet/dirt racing? SBX410 or is that to big? Im not sure of the scale size and i don't have social media either...ya I know(crazy wife).... so here's the best I can provide to show you what im talking about.

Probably best to stick to a manufacturer that you can get parts for at local track or hobby shop if gonna go racing. But horatio would have better knowledge on racing side things or check out razor rc channel YouTube he member on here, nobody covered as many buggy’s as he has on his channel that I’ve seen. What scale, rwd or awd it’s a deep rabbit hole

I'm a huge fan of the Losi 22X-4 Elite and a new version lands very soon. In 2WD, the B7.1 will be unleashed imminently and it makes far more sense than the B7 - if you have the coin. I've ploughed upgrades into my B7 to ensure it is competitive.

Whilst I'm obviously an old dude, I'm racing against some pretty serious dudes half my age - for the first time with 2WD in about 20 years - and winning! So to be fair, I have to say once sorted, the B7 is a weapon. So now might be the time to pick up some bargain B7's - if you like fettling. 😎👌

This is a B7 - on steroids....

And to be perfectly honest - it's not far off the pace of my 4WD car, uses less power and is easier to drive (in some ways).

Ill be honest I've always had this soft spot for buggies! That buggy looks awesome with all the carbon fiber! I bet you flinch hard on close calls with that baby! 🤣👀🔥

Many a good tune played on an old fiddle. 🤭🤘

I'm sure the SBX 410 will be race-able - but.... Schumacher PB is looking light and agile in 4WD.....💯😎 Obviously - I'm a long time CAT fan, but my Elite has too much vested in it at this point. It's currently winning our SWRCCC championship. It just works.

I now have a charging Xray sponsored team driver and a former world champion to deal with - but I'll give it my best to the end.

After my holiday, though. 🤭

I rag it around like I stole it - with 96-97% consistency....🤩🤘

It's a great rig. With further upgrades scheduled....

I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY! LOL. "It just works" ahhh righhhttt Horatio so if I dump 2k into a 500 buggy all I have to do is hold on tight?! 🤣🤣 that's awesome to hear! The owner of Kipps Hobbies (kipps specializes in small scale dirt oval, has alot of protek, custom workz, Schumacher etc!) told me Jimmy Stewart owns Custom Workz Rc and does oval track racing! Also has me looking into that too 😅.. Kipps has a dirt oval track and does events during the warmer months!

I MEANT SBX-425!! Probably still a poor choice in terms of racing! Im just a TC fan boy so I don't care i would do my best to see it through with hopups!🤷🏼🤷🏼🫡🫡

To dip your toe in the water you could try something cheap & basic like losi micro b, they look like cheap fun. But Oval racing just saw this little conversion for sworkz they just released a new 1:8 rtr buggy also the Apollo think its called.
