The Shiroi tyres are quite soft from what I remember of the reviews, maybe the dude burned through an ungodly amount ripping about on concrete 😅. If they are soft I might get a set , love me some squidgy off road tyres they bite really well for dirty off road action.

Aye time will tell on the XC stuff, got a XC c8 in my Mojave 4s and its been brilliant over winter so will see if it lasts as long as the hard working much abused HW 8BL150 g2 that's in the Kagama its even got a leaking cap fixed with shoe goo and still keeps ticking along 😅 .
I've had nothing but problems with hobbywing ESC's, maybe just bad luck but I've switched to Castle and XC and haven't had problems since.

If the LVC was set to 3.6v then it was absolutely the LVC because that's way too high.
Not too high if want to prolong life of battery, pushing those last few volts out is harder for battery & causes more heat, set high is better for battery long term. That’s from head honcho at smc, that’s kinda crap I listen too on nightshift 😂

I’m losing faith in Hobbywing esc I’ve had a few instances on both my max 8 & max6 where lvc hasn’t kicked in until below 3.0volts lost couple Lipo with the cells not recovering. And after smoking my 4292 1780kv in my buggy yesterday think I’ll be going xc esc with a 4990.

If on fb can see buggy’s last rip

Hobbywing ESCs have undersized heatsinks and fans for the amount of amps they're rated for that's for sure. That's one reason I've steered clear of the XC C series in spite of having had no problems with the E series. The C series have much smaller heatsinks compared to it's E series equivalent like they're squeezing more amps out of a smaller ESC. For example the C6 and E6 are both 200A 8S 1/7 class ESCs but the E6 is about 30% larger and sensored vs sensorless can not account for that size difference.

Repurposed the number flag plate things and now the front end is good as new 😁

Cannot tell it was in a front end smash 😄, has a cool banger car look to it.
AHH I'm thinking I need to put some banger inspired graphics on it now 🤣😁

Have also lowered the ride height and binned off the driver dudes, want the COG much lower than the out the box level.

Will definitely be investigating in a mesh chassis cover too, need to keep some of the crud out

Well the Shiroi came with a servo, but seems quite lifeless on the tester.

Was thinking of getting a 9Imod 30kg or 40kg, anyone have any experience of them?

Yeah they are good servos had a 50kg one I think that's what it was in my Kagama for a while did the job well not the fastest but turned them big ol'tyres with ease. Took it off because it had a bit too much slop in it for my liking so put it in the maxx still going after 1 1/2 years.

I replaced it with this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...cfnv4VFZ8mxdBWKyrlNwAvnD6PALRpQxoCY_EQAvD_BwE

Its overkill but it was cheap and it's fast and powerful, got one in my X maxx and it moves that about fast enough. Bit a pig to fit into the Corally servo mount as where the wires come out the servo it has a rubber grommet thingy making it hard to push in the gap.

Not myself have Saw mixed reports on them I stick with agfrc but more expensive but buy cheap buy twice. I use the 32kg in my buggy red version but agfrc have sale & same servo in blue Chinese themed case nearly tenner cheaper.

I just found this on AliExpress: | Special Offer AGFRC A73CHLW 32KG Digital Coreless High Torque 1/10 HV Programmable Waterproof Servo For 1/10 RC Car Crawler Boat

I see what you mean about the wires 😬 they come out nearly half way up the servo, can't imagine why they would do that.

What would you guys advice for hangin the Shiroi. I want to hang it on the wall for storing at home. Now I don't know if I should go buy 2 long hangers to hang it on that rear transport thing. Or mount two smaller hangers and hang it left and right on the suspension arms? As it's pretty heavy I don't want to put stress on the chassis somewhere not ideal hmm

Yeah no space, have to hang it vertically. My Tekno hangs inside a Koswork bag
