Replacement for stock pivot ball adjustment nuts

I remember on the old MBX4RR I had, the pivot ball nuts were screwed in and the user was essentially cutting their own thread during assembly on that first run.

Once they're done, it's not that bad - provided the nuts are located in the same threads each time.
 
That's why you use a hard fluopolymer o-ring behind the threads captured in a channel.

I wonder why nobody seems to use an off the shelf spherical bearing for this. That's what most large helis use for the pivot ball in the swashplate.
