Hi, recently I have been scouring the internet for a car under £500 (Including battery and charger). I have chosen the Radix 4 and I was wondering if anybody knew any usefull things about the Radix 4 to reinforce my choice. If anybody also had any other cars that they know for under £500 (Battery + Charger), I would be grateful.

I'm more of a monster truck/truggy fan - the Kronos and Punisher can both be had for £360, add the brace kit, HD knuckles, Zeeee lipos from Amazon (2x2s seen to be good value) with an imax B6 charger you should still be under the magic £500.
 
Personally I'd go for the radix6 over the radix4 if you're wanting a buggy, not sure on pricing in your location but here in the states it's only $40 more but that $40 gives you far more capable electronics plus hardened diffs vs the sintered ones the radix4 has, the 6 is just all around a better deal for the money imo

I have to agree with this. With the Radix6, you would have 6s capability built in, and it would cost you far more than the difference to add 6s capability to the Radix4 if you decide you want it later.

I’ve just got the Muraco, available for £360 now. Depending on battery and charger it would be around £500-£600.
Plus the spares needed (I smashed my up first 4s battery run 😫)

On Saturday, I am going to the local RC shop and going to buy the...






Kraton 4s 4x4 BLX 1:10.
I changed my mind. 😋 It's faster and bigger 😉 and I can race it at my local offroad club.

List of gear:
1. Arrma 1:10 Kraton 4X4 4S V2 BLX Speed Monster Truck RTR, Blue (C-ARA4408V2T2)
2. Sky RC XT60 to EC5 Adaptor (200mm) (SK-600023-16)
3. Centro 4S 6800mAh 14.8v 75C Hardcase Lipo EC5 (C5047EC5)
4. Etronix Powerpal Mini AC 6A 60W Balance Charger/Discharger (ET0204

All coming in at £543.26. I'll admit a little over £500 but for an extra £40 I think it is worth it?

What are your thoughts? I'll update when I get it. :) :)

If you’re buying all that ask if they’ll do it all for £500. Worth asking, I often get unexpected deals just from asking.

It is a Arrma. There is a forum for that 2 😉 But ask to let them do it for 500. No guts no glory

Sadly, the shop was closed on the day. 😡 😢 😢, I’ll have to have crack at it in 3 days. Can’t wait.

I know this is a Corally forum but here you go. Does any body know how to programme the ESC and what are the best settings for racing?

You’re on the wrong forum now 🤣

Hope you got two or three batteries, one won’t be enough. A charger that can charge two at the same time you’ll want as well. I got the sky rc100, great but only charges up to 4s so I’ve had to get two 3s batteries to go 6s,

Following your advice I asked for a deal, but the guy said no. I then persisted and he said he could do a discount. I checked what I saved which was £15. So no the best but better then nothin.
