Too small,…..View attachment 7586
I still run the Dusty Motors shroud on my heavily modified XTR, even on tarmac. Chippings can be a real hazard.
If I'm pushing the rig hard on 6S - I leave a gap in the zip for extra air flow.
Size Shroud length *Chassis side length
S 21 cm / 8.3 inches 20-22 cm / 7.9-8.7"
S+ 24 cm / 9.5 inches 23-25 cm / 9.1-9.9"
M 27 cm / 10.6 inches 26-28 cm / 10.2-11.0"
M+ 30 cm / 11.8 inches 29-31 cm / 11.4-12.2"
L 33 cm / 13 inches 32-34 cm / 12.6-13.4"
XL 36 cm / 14.2 inches 35-37 cm / 13.8-14.6"
XXL 39 cm / 15.4 inches 38-40 cm / 15-15.7"
XXXL 42 cm / 16.5 inches 41-43 cm / 16.1-16.9"
Large seems to fit 1/8th trucks like a 'tailored fit'. That's what I use on mine.
But if you had to choose 'too big' or 'too small' - just like in the Army, it's better to choose too big!![]()
That fan is mounted at the base of the fan you will need to drill 2 holes in your chassis or side guard and to mount it, 2 screws couple & washers all need.

I really need to get one. My Castle escs have lost a blade or two. Odd how my HW escs haven't.
If you run a shroud, the crud that normally gets into your fans will be (largely) prevented from entering your chassis.
Where did you get the fans setup from ?? Be great if you got a linkView attachment 7584
Dust cover is essential in my opinion - to protect your fans.

Here's my twin fan mount for my motor. The Kuron 825 motor gets hot very quickly even here in Blighty - especially on grass.![]()
