New to the forum but not to RC. Always into nitro than sold everything off bout 8 years ago. Now I’m back and doing the electric thing.

Scooped up a Punisher 4 few weeks back, drove it 2-3 times and started messing around. Now has a skeeter adj motor mount, 16t Tenno pinion, 40mm corally fan, SMS Lipo alarm and put some very thin gauge wire tie around the cvd’s to keep them intact.

Welcome, There’s a Cvd repair kit fixes the Cvd issue corally was sending them out to people for free all you needed to do was register your vehicle with them.

Good to make your acquaintance! 💪

Obviously I'm a huge fan of the Shogun/Punisher/Kronos platform. I think it's a great rig, and my XTR is in a good place.

My old style 'CVD's' have wire springs to retain the pins and they work perfectly.

As the old adage goes: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If Corally retained the pins with a grub screw in the barrel and flats on the pins - external clips/springs would be unnecessary in the first place.

Either way, Corally have an impressive line up at present. 😎

See you on the boards.....👍

Thanks for the info on the cvds. When I went over the rig during Perrin inspection, I had a stripped screw from the factory and contacted Corally. I had already registered and in addition mentioned the cc’d up grade so they sent the updated one as well. Solid customer service so far. I did the wire tie to prolong the BCD’s in their current state.

Lots of great info on here too 👍

Welcome to the club!👍
Good looking Punisher you got there.
At some point you may start in experiencing glitches in the transmitter and steering, but those can be solved with relatively cheap aftermarket upgrades.
In the mean time, enjoy your Punisher!

Welcome new guy 👏🏽 I too am an old man who once sold everything and then came crawling back to the hobby.

10 out of 10 for the fan mesh, very sensible.. I recently got a stone caught in my ESC fan that seized it up so you might wanna think about that one too. Punisher shell looks sweet I might swap my kagama4 shell out for one.

Snap! Solidarity. 😁

Hello and welcome!
I am reasonably new too.
No background in RC to speak of.
YouTube showed me some videos, then I watched more ... And more!
The big bashers got me into it.
So I took a steep learning curve!
After breaking many things, I decided to relax a bit. Take a step back and learn how to use the car correctly.
I am not breaking as much now, but still love sending the cars.
I made sure to orderany parts so that when the inevitable break happens, I can repair and send again.
I love it!
Kagama are awesome!
Love my 4s just as much as my 6s!
MY 6s LE is my absolute fav!
Every bash, every car makes me smile!
Good luck keep smiling and see ya around

So care to elaborate on these steering / transmitter glitches? Curious, cause I wouldn’t call it a glitch, but can’t keep my steering trim set at all. Tiniest input wants left or right of going straight. Once it is perfect while driving it seems to change on its own. Just won’t stat tracking straight

The LE had reports of radio cutting out.

If your car doesn't track straight, either your steering is binding (it's a good idea to check your pivot balls - they might be too tight), or there could be slop/play in the front suspension/steering, or the servo isn't centering accurately.

A common issue is that the servo saver spring is far too weak. This doesn't help with centering - the bigger/heavier the tyres, the worse it gets.

The Lee Spring servo saver mod is detailed in numerous places on this board.

Three (including me) in our group experienced glitching with our TC cars; power or steering input just would cut out for a split second. We all run other transmitters and don’t have that problem with those, but when we got new cars we test drove it with the stock Varioprop transmitter and we all had the same problem.
