I am wondering if anyone has run into issues with the front upper arm holder (connects to top of steering deck and holds the inside of the upper suspension arm hinge pins - the shock tower has the square inserts for the front of the upper hinge pin). I ordered the standard replacement part for the Kronos, but the pins only go in about 1/16 of an inch. But they should go in about 3/16 of an inch to line up with the steering rack. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this.

Since the pin will not go into the hole completely of the upper arm holder, the parts don't line up with the posts of the steering rack and cannot be bolted down properly. Its very weird. Almost like there are metal sleeves in the arm holder, because I cannot drill it out bigger.

Which hinge pins have you ordered? The early Kronos had different pins to the Kronos xtr but the picture diagram you’ve posted is for the kagama. But they should just screw in. Corally have vids on there YouTube or this pic shows the different pins & setups although for radix etc

Weird. The picture I posted is from my Kronos XP manual. Maybe the part in the manual is off then. The Kronos XP out of the box had slide in pins, not screw in ones. So, perhaps the manual has the wrong upper arm part then. I know I have the correct hinge pins. I have the originals and ordered the same ones in the manual and they are the same. So ... perhaps this arm holder is wrong and this style is the screw in kind.

Ok, your replies helped me 100%. I am new to Corally for the most part ... my Kronos XP is my only Corally car. I wasnt aware of screw in hinge pins vs the slide-in ones. My manual is 100% wrong and has the wrong part in the diagrams and the Spare Parts list. But, looking at other models I see the part that is used for slide in pins. Thanks!!!!

I have also noticed weird things in TC manuals. The manual that came with my car showed all the right parts, but sometimes wrong bolt lengths, which I have heard from more people. But I like to have a colour manual, so I downloaded them from TC's website and printed them out. I'm sure it was for the correct car (Sketer) but it shows some assembly's from different models. I believe the servo saver exploded view it shows is from the Sketer.

Got it. Yeah, I am definitely learning that. I figured the part that came on my Kronos XP (C-00172) was deprecated or something and the manual had the new and improved part. I just ordered 2 of the correct part for good measure. Hopefully this is the only assembly that is off in my manual ;)

Older manuals are rubbish think the new ones better doesn’t help there is like 4/5 different versions on the Kronos. Also on corally site if you search under spares for Kronos it only lists the newer version hinge pin, even if you search hinge pin you won’t find it as they call the early version a pivot pin, you have to search the part no. To find it 🤦🏻‍♂️ they don’t make it easy do they.

Well, this is why I love this forum. I've found my answer every time. Truly appreciate you guys helpin out a Corally noob. :)

Corally isn't the only with mistakes in manuals.
Thunder Tiger's MT4-G3 manual shows the front part of the car as "Back" and the rear as "Front"!
