Hi all, I have a new Asuga with max8g2 and castle 1515 220kv, any go-to upgrades as far bracing? I do moderate jumping on the car. Not extreme but moderate. Any other advice for a new asuga owner? Don't want to blow money if not necessary but also I'm not finding info any weak spots. Thanks.

The arms were prone to splitting but cable tie fixes that but pretty solid out the box. Adu racing on AliExpress do upgrades for it if want or feel the need to upgrade it.

The upper arms were splitting along the hinge pins. A common solution is mounting Arrma Mojave 6s upper arms. They are a direct fit.
I upgraded my Asugas with the ADU braces and steering deck and the Arrma upper arms.
The stock upper brace bent pretty easily.

Oh yeah. It's not really an upgrade, but i put rubber bump stops on the shock shafts to limit travel. The drive shafts had a tendency to pop out of the output cups.
The Asuga doesn't need much more than this.

I came up with a better solution: https://www.corallyforum.com/threads/repairing-a-split-upper-front-suspension-arm.1585/

The only upgrades I consider "must have" are the ADU racing "cowcatcher" bumper and the front shock tower protector. The tower protector requires holes that are only present on the ADU racing 7075 shock tower though. I was glad it was there when I flipped and slid 30 feet on asphalt. Also a vinyl chassis skin is "nice to have".

How did you fit the castle motor and ESC without cutting the sides?

I have the Mamba Monster x 8S too and it wouldn't fit without fit without being squeezed by the sideguard. EDIT Actually it does look like your sideguard is being pushed out a little by the ESC.

I mounted that esc with the battery tray and esc mounting plate in place. I put tape on the plate and put the esc in. It fit tightly. I don't remember the guard being pushed out.
The Max6 is a perfect fit. It's like Corally knew people would shove it in there.

Nothing wrong with those.
Their aluminium parts are nice. Fit and finish are good. It's not all 7075 as fas as i can tell. In my opinion, 7075 is only required in high stress positions in the car. Especially braces.
There's not many third parties who make parts for Corally cars. And if they do, it's only for a handful of models.
Here are some pictures of my upgraded Radix.

How are the corally 7075 upgrades? I'd like to stick with black/corally aluminum but not if it's low quality? Thanks
Make sure the parts you order are compatible with your car.
Corally has made a couple of very nice cars lately, but a lot of the parts are model specific and there are no upgrade parts for the composite braces.

I have all three 7075 diff cases and they are brilliant quality with a excellent fit 👌. These are on a kagama 6s which are the same diffs etc .

If your in the UK try this place I find they are a bit cheaper on Corally parts and use TREX5 for a 5% discount on every purchase 😀

The diff cases may be brilliant, i am sure, but i have not experienced any problems with the stock composites.
They are durable as heck. Even though i have overpowered all cars but one, still no diff problems.

I am happy they are that good, because i am not getting 7075 diff cases and maybe even bulkheads for 5 Corally cars.

Corally 7075 parts some the best by an oem manufacturer, but more expensive than say adu. Vitavon & M2c racing also do some parts for corally. You could always flip the battery tray so esc at front of chassis if need more space for esc. But see most upgrades can get for Asuga in this vid.

I never thought about flipping the battery tray to move the esc to the front.
I will look into that tomorrow. Are the motor cables long enough, though?

Don’t know will depend on motor installed but would need to be fairly long or use extension leads but that’s not ideal either , I’ve saw the tray flipped on a buggy but not Asuga
