Just wanted to say just wow, the build quality, stature, size, stance, weight, build quality.. could go on, I’m absolutely amazing at this new kagama 4, straight out the box what a weapon. Heard a lot about it no being fast enough on stock pinion, but it’s definitely not slow and still wheel stands with a 4s battery. I’ve got a 15t pinion to put in at some time but going to do some more driving first..
only thing I bought n added was a surpass dial fan and ally heat sink, abit of a mission to wits in nice but loos the part n fits perfect. Good eBay find for $35. Also team corally have updated the site and list a heap more parts that will upgrade or for from other stuff. The body looks so good I was gutted to scratch it up a little on first run. But wow it handled well, tracks straight, no wobbles, needed next to no tuning. Plug in and drive the poop out of it.
Open to hearing what people have done with diffs(oils etc) and anything else to help it be better or even more awesome
Super happy and can’t believe the price and quality

Oh man after all the praise. Got the new pinion in, tuned the esc. First good run at the bmx track n barely even warmed it up and lost the front left cv/dog bone, popped out clean and lost it 😭😭😭
Few have had this issue adjusting the droop screws & bit of heat shrink on Cvd seems be solution.

Yeah I saw the vids on yt but wasn’t even driving hard or didn’t crash or anything. Pretty disappointed after all the hype. Hope I can find it tomorrow or it will be a few weeks wait for a new one

People didn’t seem have this issue on the Syncro so not sure what’s changed or if it just the setup with bigger wheels. Few people lost dog one also due to Cvd pins coming out due to Circlip not holding them complained to corally got replacements sent out could try that option if don’t find it. Just hit up customer support think corally pretty decent covering things

I got it from Campbelltown hobbies in Oz and I’ve reached out to them to see if they will send one out. Run time was about 3 mins 😖 pretty gutted but I’ll go back to where I lost it and have a look see if I can find it
Neither the clip or anything was missing just looked like it fell out 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you won't get a warranty replacement for some reason, pins are cheap. You can buy them 10 at the time so you have some spares. They are a wear item aswell so that's not a bad idea. In a pinch you could cut off a drill bit shank, but not really a reason to if you have a LHS.

They did replace under warranty and I bought 2 more off eBay just in case
Weird thing is, there was no wear mark, the clip is still there, no signs of damage or scratches. Who knows how it popped out

Is Corally fixing the issue with the retainer clip on current versions? I am contemplating purchasing one but silly stuff like this issue have me holding back.

They are stefan a ceo or high up in corally group. They pretty good at resolving issues.

Thanks mate I don’t have my Facebook active at the moment but may have to activate it again. I bought 2 cvs and got 1 under warranty this time so if it happens again I’ll have a replacement, plus I’m going to do the shrink wrap thing too.. thanks for the reply I appreciate it

Stefan is great, I had replacement cvds sent out straight away.
I am also in Australia, I sent the hobby shop an email and Team Corally directly.
I received full driveshafts from Corally .... And from my local store, I received 3 springs, and 3 pins. I did later.find.out.the.hobby shop had taken those parts from there synchro stock.
But Team Corally also replaced a damaged centre diff and servo, from the same initial CVD issue

Great to hear your well stocked on spares now.

Oh, I did forget to mention, I have 3 kagama 4s ... We lost the 1 CVD from each car within the first few days of driving.

So can confirm the new cvs have the spring type pin retainer and not the clip so fingers crossed it holds up

Also if ordering make sure you get the “long” version as the hub is longer. There is a long and short version. I didn’t know so if anyone else is looking for parts make sure you get the long one
