So the Mrs treated me for my bday with this beast! I'm already looking at doing some basic mods to reinforce the body and keep it as clean as possible especially with the UK weather being unpredictable as heck.

So far:

- Body reinforcement (flexible glue, glue gun and drywall tape)

- Radiolink RC6GS Radio Receiver combo

- Sealing receiver box with blue tac to keep the water out

- upgraded locking wheel nuts

- vented tyres

- wheel vent holes covered up

- clear plastic dirt guards for rear

- carbon fibre style vinyl chassis protection

- anti slip pads for batteries

- receiver bump protection

- shortened antenna #1 tube (set to 90 degrees)

- antenna #2 protective tube (set vertically)

- poor boy rear mud guards

- velcro body to rig

- general cable management & bump protection

thanks man and yeah these nuts are used in industry so I didnt over tighten them like I've seen some do on youtube, I have a wrench and some spray lube if it gets stuck, hopefully some more changes soon :)

What is the wire that goes under to the front body clip post
The radio link receiver has 2 antennas so I put the 2nd wire in this picture originally so it would be 90 degrees to the other antenna but I've changed it since to this so both antennas are protected and tidied up.

Updates: So this may not be for everyone but hey, whatever you like that makes you enjoy your hobby right? I decided it would be cool to add some vents / ducts to redirect some airflow into the motor and ESC because I have used velcro to keep a seal between the chassis and the body. I will of course add fans but for now this is how it's gone so far.

I've had to do a bit of guess work for the body profiles which is why the 3D prints don't sit perfectly on the body but otherwise I designed these myself;

vents can be removed and swapped out should they get damaged
3M double sided tape to secure it to the body
zip ties to add more retention from underneath
quick test using an air hose is showing the air is moving down like it should

Hoping the vents don't break when bashing

Those vents are one slick mod! Additional plus point to the cooling is that they make the car look better too!!!!

thanks man, I appreciate that, it doesn't sit perfectly to the body but thats okay it seems to still direct airflow to the motor and ESC which is what I wanted, now with fans it never gets hot :D
