Why would anyone? No harm in keeping stuff mint. 👌

I wouldn't want to scratch that Chassis, either.

Each to their own. You could have had the exact same experience with a regular Kagama chassis, whilst preserving your limited edition chassis.

It will make more sense in 20 years time, when others are selling them off in mint condition.

Doubtful I’ll ever sell it. It may get retired in a year or two at which point I will enjoy looking at the patina that I added giving it character. I just want folks to have fun with their RC's. If keeping it nice is your jam, good on you. If sending it and having a hoot is your thing, have at it!

Patina! 😝🤣

You keep implying that "if keeping your rig nice is your jam, good on you.'

This is disingenuous.

People can do wtf they like with their gear. Noone here has implied anything otherwise - so put the nonsense strawman away.

But if there are 2 parts that you can't replace with a 999 limited edition model -1 the body - 2 the chassis. If people want to enjoy bashing their limited edition rigs - nothing prevents them. But it would be just as much fun 'sending it' with an aftermarket chassis, or a spare Kagama chassis and body.

Given that you can drive the rig with a Kagama chassis and body - both easily replaced when damaged or worn, I can't see a compelling reason why anyone would choose to deface the limited edition parts. Either way - that choice remains with the owner.

But people here buying the LE have asked - 'what should I do?'. These were the answers.

However, I agree with you that it's doubtful that you would ever sell that rig now, given the 'patina'. 🤣

There is a misconception that people that have immaculate rigs don't 'send' them or use them.

Total fallacy.

All my rigs get used.

The only exception is my Tamiya Sand Scorcher.

I 'send' my rigs, sometimes in heats with upto 9 drivers in.

Or sometimes in a muddy field.

The Savage is 22 years old in march. Most of the plastic parts are original.

The Baja 5B is 17 years old. All plastic parts are original.

People pay their money and make their choice.

These rigs have had many, many joyful hours of use.

They look nice because the owner meticulously maintains them after every run.

In the case of racing rigs - after each and every 5 minutes of use.

Sending things is kinda what I do. 🤣 You don't want to receive what I send though. 😝

Keeping stuff looking mint is actually what absorbs most of us into RC, whether that be building aircraft, FPV drones, or helis. Equally importantly, it's what keeps things operating optimally. It's an operational requirement in certain fields...

I think of my Kronos XTR as 'quite new' - but it's actually 5 years old already! It gets muddy, wet, crashed, rebuilt and optimised. No regrets.

Keep enjoying your rigs in 2026, the way that makes you smile.

Knowair often jokes with me about how dirty his rigs are compared to mine. The difference in his case is that his workshop is much bigger than mine, so most of his rigs live in there!

My garage is used as a repair shop for multiple things, not just my RC stuff, so my rigs have to pass muster before they come back into the house. 😝

Nelson - no need to discuss the virtues of attention to detail with him - just look at his builds...

Angrysection8 - when it comes to meticulous builds - and lots of them - including engine mods - dual motor insanity wagons - he's the dude. And dare I say all his rigs are super clean too.

Very close. Just got mine, and it's very personalized. I think it's a great touch. I really like the TC brand so much more.

Just saw the post from August 1st regarding a gift package for Kagama Limited owners. Well, here we are 4 months later. Has anyone in the world received one yet?

So the secret is well and truly out now. Just have to wait for the postman to arrive down under.

I just registered my 2nd unboxed LE in my son's name so he will get some personalized goodies for his own non-LE Kagama.
