Hi guys, my servo saver snapped within 5 minutes of unboxing my Punisher 4S. I ordered the Corally aluminum one and also an AGFRC A73BHLW V2 servo.

I figured I might as well rebuild the entire steering. I did a bunch of research, and the spring upgrades seem to be a must. However, I’m in Canada, and the Lee one from eBay comes to nearly $50 CAD shipped.

I’m thinking of ordering the AliExpress special. Are these the exact specs I need? Will it fit like the stock one, with no grinding or modifications required?

Thanks

That's very close to the physical dimensions of the lee spring we specced, so should fit.

Whilst it's unlikely to be wound from music wire, other members here have tried these and they do work better than stock springs.

The spec of the Lee Spring is on page 1. 👍

Made out of Spring steel, it takes 250n to compress the spring to solid, which is about 25kg.

I'm not convinced Ali's claimed '65Mn' makes much sense! 🤣

But it should fit at least. 👍

The AliExpress spring work fine, I was one that 1st suggested & tried them. Atomic skull measured the strength of them all.
Stock approx 25kg
AliExpress 40kg
Lee spring 50kg

I’ve AliExpress spring in both my Kronos & Asuga fit no issues. The Lee spring is just too expensive for a single spring imo. Yes the size you have is correct. 2mm wire, Length 20mm , outer diameter 18mm

Awesome, thanks!

I also saw your earlier post about the ADU servo saver not fitting properly. Perfect timing, since I ordered a bunch of parts from them: front and rear hubs, spare hinge pins, suspension mounts, a sliding motor plate, and the 10 mm wheel extenders. I was going to get their servo saver too but I went with the Corally aluminum servo saver instead, so hopefully everything works out well. For the rest of the parts is ADU usually pretty good? Just hoping to make the buggy a bit more sturdy without breaking the bank 😅
