Morning gang

Im really not a fan of these massive soft wheels on the kagama, ive seen a few i like but some are smaller (148mm instead of 170mm)
How much can I decrease the size by before having to alter gearing?

I don't mind the standard tyre size but these are just like big spongy balloons lol.

I mainly do jumps, bmx track dirt bashing, grass bashing etc. Not too fussed on back flips

Any recommendations?

A lot of people go to arrma backflip. Download an app can check speed depending on gearing wheel size etc.

These are belted, you will need a 24mm to 17mm wheel adapter though.

They are beadlocks so once you have the wheels and foams replacing just the tire skin is only $25 a pair.

DO NOT vent these tires, if you must vent them vent the wheels instead. Venting the tire will weaken the belt. They come with a closed foam waterproof insert though so venting isn't really needed (it says blue foams but the ones I got for my Baja had waterproof pink foams inside)

EDIT Remember that Baja tires come in front and rear, the rears are 80mm wide and the fronts are 60mm wide. Obviously you want the rears for a Kagama.

Personally I would suggest Backflip 4s, steer clear of Louise from my experience the quality is not great, I run backflips on my XTR with max6/4082 combo just fine. If you want more cushioning for skate park go with 6s backflips or Kraton copperhead 2’s 👍🏼
Also personally I would not buy wheels with removable hexes as they always seem to strip out..🤬

do the backflip 4's hold up to 6S power ok?
 
I gots them sweet backflips 6s and they work a treat, loads of grip and ballon just enough for backflips :). I run on loose dirt etc so these moto cross pattern work spot on for my use.

Running louise mt uphills for a while now,love the grip,and the belts help a lot on 6s,the only reason I stick with them is they have replaceable hexes,I never strip them but I do often break them.
I run wide alloy arms with 13mm hub extensions on my LE which is not used for bashing and the zero offset hexes on the uphills.
I think this has a lot to do with breakages as the same tyres on my stock kagamas never give me the same problems.
