Didn’t take long before another TC car, about one month. Picked the green one to match the Muraco.😎
It’s still in the box; can’t wait to open it and getting the electronics in.

Be interesting to hear how it drives compared to the Muraco. What motor and esc combo you going for?

Almost ready. Now some extra glueing of the tires and reinforcing the body.
I replaced those mini o-rings on the center roll cage pins with little body clips on both the Kagama and Muraco.
Who ever thought mini o-rings there were a good idea?🤦‍♂️
Those are Hobbits’ size😂

Ok. Had a bashday today and the Kagama had its’ maiden run. Since it is marketed as a full send machine I went full bash mode; double, triple backflips. A couple of landings where I thought it would be in multiple pieces.
Broke the wing mount, I knew I was going to break it as the stock wing mount is THE weak point, and the 15T Arrma D-cup pinion I threw in it now has 15 bent teeth!😂 I guess I need TC’s hardened pinions.

To summarize the Kagama: WHAT…A…MACHINE.

Closer inspection and it looks like TC pinions (the top one) is beefier and ‘pointier’ than Arrma’s D-Safe pinion (bottom one). In case one is wondering what those spots are on the Arrma one, the second pic is why, after almost 2 runs (first on 4s and second on 6s) 😉. TC spur still looks almost new.

Yep - that's done for! 😅🤣

The Muraco will be more surface oriented, the Kagama more for airtime.😎
Last days of my vacation so installing the electronics as we speak.
Max6 G2 combo and DS3235Pro servo.
I'm tossing up between an Asuga / Kagama roller. I do not want to wreck my Muraco keeping it for the street.

Would the Max8 work ok in the Kagama? Or does it need the Max6 with bigger motor?

I always say it depends on the terrain you drive on and the driving style you’re looking for. I would say in your case it’s real easy, the Muraco for street and the Kagama for offroad and jumping.

The Max8 combo is actually in the stock RTR Kagama combo (although with TC own branding). I’m pretty sure TC has it programmed with more timing for more speed but as a result also higher motor temps.

A max8 G2 2250kv combo or Max8 with a 4082/4282 motor (Rocket, Surpass, etc) would do. I’d keep the kv somewhere in the 1600-2200kv range.
A max6, either the ‘old’ 160A or new 200A G2 will give you a bit more headroom. Note that a 85mm motor is about the maximum you can fit. I had to sand about 1 or 2mm of the shock tower brace to make the 4990 motor fit.

The Kagama is a beast👌, except for the wing mount. I will be testing a 3d printed wing mount this Saturday (another Arrmaforum bash day). If that doesn’t hold up I’ll probably be getting a TC wheelie bar.

In case you were wondering if it can jump.😎
I don't know of another RC that can take that kind of abuse right out the box. Maybe Outcast 8s.

Still torn between this and the Asuga. I prefer the Asuga's looks but like durability and usefulness of the Kagama. Maybe Corally will bring a Kagamafied Shogun with all the swiss steel and bracing upgrades
