Hey all, I tried a shogun a couple years ago (only ran it on 4s) and it was great. Really fast, handled great and pretty much never broke. Took a little break from the hobby and now that I'm back, I ordered up an Asuga. Looks like the perfect car for me, good "driver" car, I love a buggy and the size looked perfect. Got it last Friday, took it out for a run and within a few minutes, she's out of commission haha totally my fault for hitting a jump I shouldn't have and landing very poorly. Busted the mount on top of the rear diff/body mount. Got the parts coming to fix it, but man what a BLAST that car was to drive! I'm planning to run either shogun wheels or katars, the power is so intense with those, I'll leave the gearing stock. Screw quality is suspect as a couple stripped right off the bat and the battery straps broke as well. Any tips from corally experts I should know about for setting the car up for maximum bash durability? Thanks!

I assume ‘locktite’ screws wete stripped; wheel grub screws, mount mount screws; outdrive grub screws, center diff mount screws?
Always torch those screws to ‘break’ the locktite before you unscrew those.

The wing mount is a weak point on all Corally cars😄. They all break after one bad landing; needs more flex of a wheelie bar to protect it.

The battery tray where the straps go through are pretty sharp, I always use an hobby knife and scrap a bit of the edge at a 45 degree. Also a third strap in the center of the battery tray may help holding the lipo in place better.

Apart from that the TC’s are pretty durable, but remember the Asuga is a super fast buggy, so for jumping get a Kagama!😉

Yeah, that breakage was 100% on me, its so hard to have the self control not to hit that huge snow pile when you're having so much fun 🤣 The buggy flat out rips!I always use my mini torch on loc tite screws, the ones that stripped were on top of the center diff cover, I'm assuming those just go into plastic, I had a heck of a time getting that center brace out. Thanks for the tip on the battery tray! I think I have some extra Apex straps at home I can toss in there. Now the wait for the parts to come, can't wait to drive it, sucks only getting 10 minutes with your new rig haha. Frank.

Must been some hit what you’ve broke not even an easy place to take a direct hit on think bit bad luck involved also. The method rc are belted & similar size wheels I’ve a set but not really run them yet to comment on quality but seen plenty others give good reports on them. Cheaper than belted katars

I couldn't even see the landing, so I don't know what happened, very stupid move haha those methods look awesome! I bought some j concepts landmines for the mojave online and they don't seem right. The look really small and incredibly soft, I mightve gotten ripped off. So far, I'm liking the katars. Frank

JConcepts are quite soft, I’d set of the magmas before didn’t last long couldn’t handle 6s ballooned a lot eventually let go. Hooked up great but and look & like that could put covers on them but would have liked them to be bit more durable given price them.

Third drive, third breakage. I went out and bought some upper mojave arms, replaced the broken arm on one side and left the corally one installed on the other side, went out for a very moderate bash and the corally arm broke, I wasn't even jumping. I'm very glad I found out about the mojave arms working, or I'd be a pretty unhappy asuga owner. Other than the arms breaking, this buggy rocks!

Think the arm issue been resolved was problems with early batches probably a post about it somewhere but say vid someone had newer arms no issues with them but both work whatever can get hands on.

I just bought the car, you figure it would have the "new" arms, ordered a spare off ebay, then read mojave arms work, so I went to the lhs and bought a set today. I'll just run them, I have a Mojave and beat the ever loving heck out of it for years and I've never broken an arm.

Your going to have some breakages at some point part of the game I know I’ve done a few, if they didn’t put goal posts in football pitches I’d be alright 😅

Oh yeah, I probably have 15 or 20 cars, I'm constantly breaking them, but when they break every time you drive them, it gets a bit frustrating haha hopefully she's good to go with the mojave arms.
