Kagama Front and Rear Diff Ring and Pinion colour

First time I ever destroyed a gear last week since running Corally cars for 5 years so pretty impressive I'd say, but the complete diff I got from a breakers has a black ring gear where as all the other one's I have seen are silvery sort of colour.

Have they made them better or worse or are they still exactly the same do you think?

Aye the darker coloured ones are from the 4s stuff well the ones in my syncro 4 are anyway. They still going strong now since 2024 dunno if they'll take 6s

I bought a complete gearbox from a breaker, it has the swiss steel drive cups and a silver pinion, the ring gear doesn't look poopy like that black pinion, it still looks machined, it's just black.

Yeah from the pics they are the full fat cnc machined steel ones we all know and love, I wouldn't worry about it

OK so I got on to support and Luke finished dealing me at 9pm, what an effing legend.

Basically, spiral gear = machined

The picture in the listing is silver but I got black, Luke said they have started hardening more parts on the trucks.
